This is the kind of stuff that led to Isiah Thomas, guys.
I am disgusted about Dolan, but it is a good deal. Carmelo is a top 7 player.

Oh and Isiah is the knicks next GM

Yeah, Dolan is horrible. I think he's right here, though.

Yeah I see what your saying. But wasn't it known Donnie wasn't gonna be back next year..I could be wrong..

And I could be wrong again but isn't Denver's former GM with us now? Or was that speculation?

It just bothers me thinking that Walsh likely could've gotten Melo for less if it wasn't for Jimmy D.

Also if Felton does go to the Lakers, that's great for him and I wish him nothing but success. He really gained my respect here.

I hope felton gets the chance to win with the Lakers, I will be rooting for him.

I can't wait to see how much the floor will be open for Amare now.

Denver is 32-25.... without another big talent. Now add Amare+Fields+Brewer, keep Billups, and the other role players... wow.

I will say this...this is the best 1-2 punch I have seen in a Knicks uniform in my lifetime. As Knicks' fans, we never got a chance to see Ewing and Bernard King play together. And, McAdoo and Haywood never quite meshed. As others have said, this is a superstar league. Only Detroit has won in the past 30 years without two superstars. The key is what is done going forward.

Yeah, but we're also going to be putting them in a completely new system, no?

Also the thing i'm most excited for now is watching Landry develop with these guys around him.

Yeah I do know that they have to get used to the new system, BUT what is so hard about running and playing basketball. These guys are basketball players, in a run and gun system. Not as hard to adjust to this as a new complex half-court offense. Just hope they all man up on defense.

They'll have the offense down all right, but I think Stat, even though he's made strides in his defense this year, and Melo will really be exposed for their complete lack of defensive prowess in the D'antoni system. Which is why i'm glad Brewer is coming here.

True about this system, and I know D'ant wasn't the head coach. But I believe Melo and Billups played under D'ant in the olympics, so that could be something small.

And definetly agree about your Fields comment. Love the kid. I remember scratching my head during that draft pick, but so happy for how it turned out.

sportsguy33 In a 30-team league, the Knicks now have 2 of the 10 guys who started yesterday's All-Star Game. That deal was a no-brainer.

Sums it up

Yeah...but so do the Heat, and the Celtics had 3!

Also reading about Balkman since we drafted him when I refused to watch the team because of Isiah....typical Thomas pick.
