Wellwood had the most shots for any Flyers player in this game.

really liked him. He knows where to be on the ice. Not just offensively, but backchecking hard and tying up guys in front of the net.

He appeared to play with confidence and certainly didn't look out of place.

Best players were Giroux and Hartnell with honorably mentions to Wellwood and Leino.

To anyone who didn't believe Giroux would be the best offensive player on this team by 2012... suck it. We are witnessing the evolution of a star player in this league.

That's nice to hear. I love his speed and his defensive awareness.

Its so true, and its really disturbing to know that your captain is arguably the 4th best center on the team. it really baffles the mind when you think of how stacked this team is down the middle.

No Carter is much more exciting....bite your tongue. Giroux's 4 game point streak and registering a point in 9 of 12 games thus far should have to wait until the end of the season to prove himself unlike Carter....

I'm not quite ready to eat crow on Giroux yet, but it's on the table.

I still have to finish off my Carlson helping as well.

I mean, I've always said he'll be a 1st liner, but he's been just ridiculous.

Aside from the TO, I also thought JVR had a good game tonight.

I believe that Jeff "the Anti-Christ" Carter is now 2nd on the team in points.

im pretty sure this thought crosses my mind once a game.

this team could possibly have an offensive core of:

richards
carter
giroux
JVR (if he gets head out of butt)
Leino
briere

for the next 4 seasons. i love that.

I like that Wellwood has gotten ice time tonight, and not just a cup of coffee. Two more games to make an impression on the coaches, maybe make someone expendable down the road

Great to hear that Wellwood played a strong game. It's nice to know we have some depth, especially after the Maroon thing.

4 in row.

I think Giroux is officially replacing Lappy as my favorite Flyer. It was close between he and Betts and Powe and I normally pick the underappreciated players who are generally role players, but his game is so complete and his danglability is just too stinking amazing.

RT @JeffMarek: File under "glad we didn't get what we wanted". At 2006 draft Flyers wanted Trevor Lewis but 'settled' for Claude Giroux after LA took him.
