Late Draft Picks

With all the talk going on about who we should draft in the frist round on June 26th, i was wondering who would people like to snag with some late round darft picks that wouldn't go high in the draft because of size, speed, ect. issues. A perfect example was Corey Locke falling into our laps in the fourth round.

I, personally like Mattias Olimb, i read about this kind in the redline report, and although he is only 5'9, 154 pounds he seems like a a pretty good kid to take a gamble on with a late round pick.

Any thoughts?

He's 5'9 not 6'3....for a hockey player it's light but for a normal person 150-160lbs for 5'9 it's good.

You can bulk up quite abit between the time your 18 and the time your 21 or 22. The guys obviously never going to play at 200 pounds but 175-180 wouldn`t be out of the question.

I don't know, I'm 5'9, 165 lbs right now and at 16 in junior I weighed just under 170 lbs, and was only about 5'8. Not saying he's anorexic, just like you say, very light for his age and trying to be a pro hockey player. He must have some tremendous skills.

From the Q, I'd like to get Pohl, Karsum or Latendresse in that category.

Latendresse would be good, I also like Callahan, it would have to be in the 3rd round, also Fugere and Blake Comeau also.

78Th overall: Comeau
88Th overall: Callahan
5th round : Fugere
6th round: Latendresse

Looks good to me .

Hensick opted out. Pohl I wouldn't take in the 3rd round, after being benched in the memorial cup, he's a one way player. Laliberte I like but not in the 3rd. Good hard working player though. Cabana would be a good pick. Karsums maybe, Comeau seems to have cement hands, Klubertanz I'm a big big fan of, but I think his size we may be able to grab him in the 4th round. Chucko and Sawada I've never seen, but both would be interesting. Haskins I would be for certainly, another good hard working player.

I have my Habs mock draft done for every pick in the draft, I'll post it shortly.

If we could trade to get a second round pick, i tahink that Booth would be an interesting choice.

Since a couple of weak, I saw the name Liam Reddox everywhere. I don't know if he could go in the 2nd round but if not, I would like to see him pick by the Habs. Also, I like Karsums but he will probably go in the 2nd round...
