That must be the worst view of the skyline available.

The Habs have had a nice start and are coming off a loss. A win tonight is not going to come easy.

In keeping with our DISS MONTREAL theme...

Jackets win over the Eastern Conference.

Jackets Canadians 4, Montreal's Canadiens 2

Is Garon starts - we win. 4-2

TSN - Columbus, Ohio, USA - In addition to stopping 26 of 28 shots in the Columbus Blue Jackets game against the Montreal Canadiens last night, goaltender Mathieu Garon also scored two goals, making him the first NHL goalie ever to score multiple goals in a single game.
As a result of this unprecedented feat, Garon has been named the new owner and general manager of the struggling franchise, and, in an interview, was quoted as saying (roughly translated) "this city will do anything to retain its team, so we've ordered the mayor to change the name to New Quebec."
"Garon went on to say that "there are three of us (Quebecois) in this team. If we can't bring more hockey to French Canada, we'll bring French Canada to the hockey."
It is believed that Garon likes hockey more than previous owner John P. McConnell, who merely inherited the team from his late father.
"I will show up to all future team photographs," Garon is quoted as saying.

Any word on a new team name or mascot?

The "New Quebec Blue Jackets" doesn't have a ring to it. Nor do I think the French Canadians I have much invested in the US civil war, nor I am sure that any of them even know what a Blue Jacket even is.

Stinger is too scary for the kids, so he's got to go.

Oh, 2-1 Jackets.

Also, I'm on the glass in section 105 tonight, baybee! I'm seriously excited. It will be only my second-ever game on the glass.

My precious, half French-Canadian/Canadien son just gave me a tissue to wipe my tears after the game. Punk! He also told me the Jackets will have to call their mommys to drive them home after the game because they will be crying too hard to drive. Brat!

Go Jackets!!

I like how the smokestack is featured prominently in the foreground. It's a nice touch that adds a bit of class to the picture.

I feel good about this one, mostly because Garon is playing. That doesn't mean we will win but I predict Garon will be running for the Presidency in 2012..

Garon IS starting tonight

Jackets break there scoring slump, put up 5 goals.

Final 5-3

Nash, Brassard, Jake, Vermette, and Filatov all get points. Powerplay improves. We are all happy

And then Brassard says Arniel doesn't like puppies as much as Hitch did. /thread

This is the game where our good players start playing badly. Garon gives up 4 goals in the 1st period. Our 3rd and 4th lines look horrible. Our 1st and 2nd lines put together 2 goals but isn't enough to overcome the 5-2 lose and we are left wondering why they can't put together a solid team effort on 1 night.

Oh yeah... that's an understatement!

I've got a plan though. Just when the little trash talker is least expecting it, I'm going to put on a little puppet show for him. Stinger is going to kick Youppi's orange ***! We'll see who's crying then.

I believe it is critical that Hardcore Hockey Hainsey carry the damned flag and score 6 goals in this game. Time to man up and contribute!

Seems like it. If it were me coaching, he'd have Stralman's spot right now.
