I was just going to say how impressed I was by them. Their transition game is excellent and they can really run an offense. I would kill for a pairing like that...

Im really impressed with Grachev this game. Hes not doing anything fancy but is doing what he needs to be. Using his body to shield players and using his speed.

Damned White misses the puck and allows the tired Hawks to change. Gah.

Boyle has been awesome this season. The points are a bonus, he has become a great forechecker, shot blocker and hitter.

thinking about it we probably wont see grachev really start to tap into his potential for another 2 years considering his age. players like dubi and cali are coming into their own now

And agreed on Grachev. It's very re-assuring to see him holding his own in the NHL.

If Girardi keeps up this play, and Staal gets to his normal level, that will be the best defensive pairing the Rangers have seen since way before the lockout.

I feel like Mcdonoghs potential will be a Girardi type defenseman which would be fantastic. McD doesnt have a ton of offense but solid defensively like Girardi.

i have missed a good portion of the game, but from what i've seen, the rangers look to be playing a good, composed, game. chicago has taken it to the rangers at times, but the rangers have not panicked. i hope torts is reenforcing that point to the guys.

mdz and rozy together gives me shingles.

the hawks must be licking their chops when those 2 are on the ice.

The scary thing about Boyle is he only got 4 assists in 117 games. That is brutal for a center. He should be playing wing.

I don't feel like getting into it, but growing pains and what I perceived as attitude issues or character flaws are different. I am well aware that players early in their careers may struggle, I just don't drink the kool aid as freely as some. He'll have to finish the season strong for me to lay off but so far color me impressed.

As truly great as it to see the improvements players like Cally, Dubi, Girardi, AA, Boyle, etc. have made the proof will be in the Dec-Jan-Feb doldrums.

If they are still putting up points / playing well then I will be 100% sold.
