Frolov has caught a bad, bad case of the Higgins.

Wow, that was a risky pass by Stepan. Rookie mistake but hopefully he learns from it.

hank saves the rangers bacon at the last second.

btw, this game is great. not a snoozefest at all. crisp and well-played. love it. refs are not getting too crazy either.

If the BAR line can keep producing until Gaborik and Drury (maybe Prospal?) get back, then we'd have two solid offensive lines to play 70% of the game.

At this point in the game I'd rather see Grachev out there, at least he's backchecking.

Frolov is so frustrating to watch. That laboring stride, the futile wraparounds, etc. Very depressing a 28 year-old looks like a 40 year-old. Has got to be the slowest Russian forward to play in NHL.

If this is what passes as a well-played hockey game these days, I'd hate to see what you think is a badly-played game.

This is the epitome of what is wrong with the sport. Guys can't complete passes because the ice is awful. Sticks breaking any time there's any kind of contact. No shooting angles. Pucks bouncing around like it's basketball. This is a TERRIBLE game. Not to mention ANOTHER NHL Network game where the broadcast is NOT the Rangers.

Frolov has a history of doing his disappearing act

It is a reason Kings management finally decided to move on from him

Not really. I've been following this game for 30+ years and this is not the game I grew up on.

I don't have a problem with the Ranger strategy. Playing a defensive game against a more powerful team has been part of the game forever. My problem is the fact that nobody can complete a pass cleanly, even with nobody checking them. The puck's always bouncing off sticks.

I want to know how Frolov is getting 3 mil this year just because one year out of his career his 5239280 wraparounds went in more often than not.

Dude just looks sleepy every time they zoom in on him.

Yeah, because it's not like it's still the beginning of the season, or anything like that.

Though if he does continue playing like he has I'd be all for getting rid of him.

He's looked better than EC this game though.

you were all warned about fro. hes another enigma.

the kings fans liked him and wished him well, but his was a slow progression to the 4th line. he just didnt do much and eventually, his doing nothing bacame replaceable.

hes not a prime time player. hes a setup guy who works the boards well.

thats what he was in la, thats what hes been so far in ny.

No kidding. At least Zherdev would dangle and show his silk hands and not go from one side of the point, to around the net and back up to the point like Frolov.
