1. Robbie Shremp
We desperately need some top end young talent and Robbie Shremp will end up being one of the biggest steals of the draft. He would be an excellent heir to Modano's throne as the No.1 center on this team. A Guerin trade could possibly slap a Star's jersey on him.
2. Alexander Radulov
Again top end offensive talent that the Star's lack. He is a possible 1st line RW and is the kind of player that can bring people out of their seats. He seems to me to be similar to Zherdev.
3. Boris Valabik
If we are looking for a possible Hatcher replacement, than this 6'7 monster fits the bill. With size like that and a mean streak to go with it, this guy could end up being the next Chara.
These are my top three realistic picks for the Stars in the upcoming draft.
Who are yours?
1. Schremp - As you say a possible replacement for Modano.
2. Radulov - He is the best offensive player in the draft after Ovechkin, Malkin and Schremp imo.
3 - Graham/Meszaros - Very big center who has top 2 center upside. And a great offensive defensemen prospect with top 2 pairing upside.
As for Valabik, whose to say he will be that much better than Nickerson? I hear his offensive prowess is slightly overrated.
