fearthefin
The Sharks have placed defenseman Mike Moore on waivers. Headed to Worcester if unclaimed.

Funny, I even asked myself what happened to Moore while I was brushing my teeth this morning.

Mobility was an issue, he had too much to have a role in this defense.

Sounds like he could really, really help the D corps in Worcester (if he clears).

Agreed with both.

They could really use him down there, but I sure wouldn't mind having Moore as a dirt cheap option at the #6 next year.

Low risk on a claim for a team with defensive injuries and willing to invest in some time. I'd guess a 20% chance of a claim though because he's not a solution for most teams.

I think you're both right, but I don't think Joslin is of any assistance to this team. He's always ranged from dismal to mediocre. And now he'd be coming back to the NHL off an injury that's kept him from playing at any level for months. That's not a recipe for success.

He signed a two year deal, the first of which was two-way and the second of which (this year) was one-way. This indicates to me that he was promised a legitimate shot at a regular shift in San Jose, which he obviously didn't win. Sort of an "up or out" contract, if you will. Maybe this is just Doug Wilson doing the kid a favor and trying to get him into a situation where he might get some ice time.

Practice with the team, swap him out for Wallin when he is too full on hamburgz to play. I'd like to see more of him, he wasn't to impressive last year..

Won't be disappointed if claimed. We have too many of d-man projects right now. The kids in Wor need the ice time, not him.

This season it's a 2-way, next season is a 1-way...

Deadline is noon ET today (or 9am PT). So usually by 9:30 TSN's Bob McKenzie and others tweet the results of the waiver wire.

(Only "long" deadline if weekend submission to waiver wire)

10am and no news on being picked up on waivers; assume he cleared.
