Cammalleri vs Kessel vs Stewart

Since it's the new trend to make polls on the main board involving Habs players...

So, who would you rather have for the next 5 years. Consider all aspects: offense, defense, special teams, leadership...etc

Mike Cammalleri (MTL) 28yrs old and 6M$ cap hit
Phil Kessel (TOR) 23 yrs old and 5,4M$ cap hit
Chris Stewart (COL) 23yrs old and 2,875M$ cap hit, RFA in 2yrs

I'm taking Cammy guaranteed! He's an all around leader and will carry a team on his back. Kessel is a little more one dimensional, and Stewart still has some growing to do, but he looks like he may be legit

Awards:
Kessel. Kid`s a scoring machine. But I'm still happy with Cammy.

Probably Kessel for me. He's score to often to ignore, plus he's only 23.

Stewart.

This guy is THE Powerforward that we've been missing for years.

Love Cammy as a team guy, but Kessel proving that he can score a ton even without anyone good to play with + only 23. Hypothetical though, I'd never give up 2 1st round picks + for anyone but Crosby.

I would take Stewart but i think its not the best comparison of players. Kessel vs Cammy make sense because they have very similar styles but Stewart is a classic power forward. It should be more Kostitsyn vs Stewart.

Not that I don't think Cammarelli won't have a great 5 years in Montreal, but Stewart at his age and size is the thing Montreal needs in their top 6, and he looks to be only getting better.

6'2, 230 pound, 18th pick, scored 28 g 36 A as a 22 yr old, already off to an amazing start this year and would drop the gloves if anyone laid a finger on his smurfy linemates.

Stewart, and it's not close.

It ought to be Stewart, closely followed by Kessel, followed by Cammalleri. But that's not to rag on the Habs - you guys paid absolutely nothing except cash for Cammalleri, while Colorado used a 1st-rounder on Stewart, and the Leafs gave up Seguin, Knight, and another 1st for Kessel.

I don't think that's a bad thing. I rather have the benefits of a young star growing in my organization than a FA with miles on the odometer.

lol, that's the opposite of Kessel. Kessel has MAD skill, but he'll usually disappear for one 10 game chunk of a year, and not score at all then. The rest of the year, he's dominant.

Have to go with Stewart on this one like everyone says he is exactly what this team needs.

Plus I don't think he will get (much) more then the 6M were paying Cammy.

Close tie for second Kessel has youth on his side plus he is more explosive player but Cammy is a huge leader on this team teaching a lot of the younger guys how to be a pro both during the season and the off season.

That term gets used alot on the main board and rarely are reasons given why.. All I know is Plekanec as been a hot topic on the main board lately which could only mean that people are starting to notice how good he is...

I'm waiting for a Pleks vs Jarkko Ruutu poll now to see how Habs haters can make the voting close on that one.. Sad thing is most of these ridiculous polls involving Habs players are meant for trolling and Habs bashing purposes IMO...

As for this poll I'd take Stewart for his size and scoring ability..
