he has to move players to improve our defense. if it means losing a vet forward or 2 to get a defenseman then so be it but something has to be done to shake this whole thing up
i mean even with volchenkov our defense looks terrible
But these guys are playing so badly right now that they wouldn't get anything back. And I'm not sure that anybody would want to trade Zubrus, considering he's been our best forward, and some teams still don't love his contract.
This team is stuck in a rut, a rut that management created. Lou has seen a lot of good PMD and heart and soul forwards go over the past few years, and has not replaced either group.
exactly this team is finished people stop saying maybe this or that the season is all but over as far as playoffs we have to shed salary develop some of these defenseman and young players and get a stud draft

??? What are we up to now? 6 rookies? 7 rookies in the lineup? Do you want to just get rid of every veteran?
Hey i never post alot because i could never get my password to work.
But this is hooorrriiblleee. I really dont understand the power play one bit. Why does kovalchuk have to dish from the half wall when he has the only legit shot on the team?
we'd have to go 12-9-2 to get there. when we haven't even hit bottom yet
I was only comparing the actual slump. The Flyers had a 3-13-1 stretch last year in the middle of the season. It's not really important though - I think its too early to completely blow up the team, but I do want to see Langenbrunner gone.

but they put themselves in a position to be able to somewhat absorb the stretch.
if we start 3-13-1, we are not coming back. these things are far worse when they happen to start the season, then when they happen when you're over .500
These "DEVILS ARMY" commericals they constantly play after every loss are really, really, really, starting to piss me off.
They're so poorly done too. The text bugs the hell out of me. You need to do all caps for something like that. The Way They Have It In The Commercial Looks So Awkward.
No doubt this team is bad, I don't think it is disputable at this point.
We are missing several key players on the back line and up front.
However, this team is not this bad. There is talent all over the ice, and it is beyond ridiculous that they can't score a single goal. Being bad is one thing, not being able to score is another.
Here is the problem, this team has no system from what I can tell. They have no clue what they are doing in the opposing zone, beyond racking up crappy shots and non-existent scoring chances. They are getting out battled to everything and the vets seem content to do nothing of value.
Something needs to change, and I'm not sure a trade is an option at this point.
