Lightning coach Guy Boucher responds to comments from Patrick Roy

Roy blames Boucher for the QMJHL being a more defensive league now.

LOL I like how he pretty much says the same thing most of us have about the comments. WTF are you talking about Roy? Defensive system? My teams lead their leagues in offense...WTF?

Why doesn't Roy respond to the criticism that he's the reason why his house has no doors?

Boucher's system IS a defensive system. I think adheres to the age old saying, the best defense is a good offense.

that or it was too offensive minded so other teams had to overcompensate the defence.

Also heard that didn't happen, but was offered an Asst. GM position elsewhere... who knows.

Lolz at TB fans taking it too personal.

He explains what he meant:

Roy thinks that the 1-3-1 system invented by Boucher isn't working for every team even even if it is a good system.

'I should have said that a team with no offense who plays this way doesn't give a very exciting game. Guy has great offensive teams, which gives him exciting games. I think this is an incredible system that works, there's no doubt in my mind. Because some nights, we can't create any offense.'

If you don't have a good offense the system doesn't work.

Well **** me, I thought that was every hockey team. Holy ****.

If you don't have a good offense, the system 1-3-1 isn't pleasant to watch. He said it worked perfectly though...

If you don't have a good offense, hockey in general isn't pleasant to watch.
