Not in my understanding... He stated to Russo that he is "thinking wing"... I'll have to find the tweet to corroborate this...

Looks like you can add Almond to the thread as well.

Well if Cullen's going to play wing, we did need another center. Almond is the best one we got, though Peters could have taken a 4th line shift as well.

sorry for the bad news, but almond won't play for the wild.

he was called up by the preds:

"Nashville Recalled forward Cody Almond from Houston (AHL)."

TSN

how much ice-time will cody get? more than the 3min gillies got last game?

Hmmm... and it looks like the Wild called up a catcher named Cody Almond. You can never have too many of those on a hockey team.

It would be pretty bad ass to skate around with an old-school catcher's mask on.

I think they did it to save cap space, but it sounds like Kobasew might be back.

With Clutter looking pretty good on the top line (for now), I wonder what the rest will look like?

kassian a definite presence. he brought it. big time hits in both games. big time fight. no issue with minutes. nhl ready.
almond not really noticeable. struggled with limited minutes. needs more ahl seasoning.

Once again, Almond is recalled. Looks like he's in the lead to be this year's Robbie Earl.

crazy. you sound like a violent beatnik! Not a put down.

Almond will be a solid NHL'r with our team or with someone else. As to being an invisible drone...well that's probably what he's being asked to do right now.

Speaking of call ups...anyone noticed how easy it is to pin Wellman against the boards? It's like...You know how an alligator has a hugely powerful bite but you can keep its mouth shut with one hand? It looks like they're barely trying and the opposition can keep him stapled and useless against the boards. Still needs some muscle to go along with that killer speed he has or he's not going to make it. I'm worried that he's going to get broken.

Totally.

It's called AHL seasoning. Because right now, his impact is about as much as Earl's was last year.

Glad to see Scandella's up, I thought he looked good in pre-season. I think we should send Wellman back down.

I think he'll be in the line-up, and I have this feeling that Barker will be traded before the deadline before he loses all of his value.
