There's a good ways to go to understanding concussions, but I'm glad there are many companies researching the problem. It's serious. I'm happy it's finally being taken seriously.

I got hit pretty good last week and bought an M11 helmet afterward. Granted there's nothing that says it's the best helmet in the industry, but I like the technology. The little plastic spacers act like mini shock absorbers, about as close as you can get to the air bladder tech in football helmets (where massive helmets are more acceptable).

Dealing with concussions is going to change the way contact sports like hockey and football are played, it's just to big an issue to ignore. It used to be that the symptoms didn't really show up till later in life, but now that it's become apparent what's going on, it has to be dealt with quickly. Helmets and padding are one step but the way hits take place will come in to play also.
