This all sparked from Morrow going after Letang who's playing with an injured hand and couldn't even try to throw punches.

They both had visors didn't they? Is there no deal with that anymore, you'd think they'd take them off. Crosby ragdolled Niskanen by the end at they are about the same ht/wt

Benn just beat Kunitz pretty good there. Pretty good fights.

Yeah it wasn't exactly a heavyweight tilt but Sid threw a few good ones and ragdolled him.

Also, for two players who never fight, I'd say Crosby got the win over Niskanen basically by throwing him around the whole time....not many punches connected though.
It was a penalty no doubt, but when the guy wasn't even on a breakaway and was essentially at the exact same point on the ice, it seemed like a strange call to make it a penalty shot. I'd say it wasn't a cut and dry penalty shot call, but Johnson should have stopped it either way.

He has a few but i would rather of Crosby fought someone who actually had more than 1 NHL fight...and in that fight Niskanen looked lost.

The refs lost this game on the ******** penalty shot.
LOL it was already 3-1. Not exactly a tied game at that point anyways.

Why would he? Just fight occasionally and stand your ground and players will probably take less liberties on you. Nothing wrong with smartly picking your spots.

Why would we want Crosby to fight at all? It isn't like he goes around taking runs at guys, and should man up.

It is all gravy.

Crosby only had 2 previous NHL fights...who the **** do you want him to go after? Ott?

A welterweight going after a welterweight is no crime.

Funny, I was going to say that Crosby felt he had something to prove after all the Russians fighting early this season and in the pre-season. Except, of course, I was going to use the sarcastic emoticon...

Yes...a two goal difference with nearly half the game left. How ever could that differential ever be made up?

So Morrow is supposed to check the injury list and make sure the guy he's going after doesn't have an owie? If Letang threw the gloves, he's willing to go. If the hand is really a huge deal, don't throw, but the boo hoo crew needs to stop.

Crosby won his fight against Niskanen, and then Benn got the best of Kunitz.

Morrow squared up with Letang and he was a willing participant.

I watched the replay a couple time and it looked like Crosby was going to take his helmet off but Niskanen starting coming at him with his still on.
