We know we've got a good team. We've got a lot of positives. We've got a lot of character. We've got a lot of good things going, but you've got to win games, too. All that is talk unless you win out there. -- I‘m just trying to make Kurrilino eat some crow in all honesty, his post‘s about me on HF, they really hurt my feelings sometimes, so I‘m going out there to prove him wrong, If we happen to win the Cup too, then so be it."

It will be interesting to see. I played with him a few times last year, not a whole lot though. I’m sure we might need a little time to get used to each other, and obviously with Brownie too, but we’ll see what happens. Parse showed himself to be a scoring threat last year, and also he showed playmaking ability, which is good. I think he’s going to be a good addition to our line. Hopefully we can click, score some goals and get our confidence and go from there."

Right from our first D-man to our seventh D-man, we're so solid, and then obviously we have Muzz, who just got sent back, and he's a great player too. We're really comfortable with the unit we have here, the defensive corps, and we have great goaltending in the back too. Playing against this Tampa team, they have a lot of offense so we’ll need to be solid back there."

Hopefully we find the right chemistry and keep things going in the right direction. - - I'm not going to change the Stoll line, Ryan Smyth and Stoll and Williams have been a good line, and I'm not going to tamper with that. They're going to stay the same. Parse, to me, is a player who brings you some offensive play. He showed some spectacular play last year at times, some great goals. He needs to play on your top two lines, and that's where he's going."

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

Current #1 and #2 in the NHL playing. Should be a great game!

DESTROY THE LIGHTING! DESTROY!

Hopefully Parse can prove he is a first line-winger. Looking forward to see how well he does. And Doughty coming back!

WAS, but Washington won, Tampa lost in OT, so Washington jumped ahead of them, thus Lightning are #3 ... but we (THE KINGS) are still #1

Tampo_ is a really solid team this year and I think they will be a contender. This is going to be a great game and I for one think that our D will be the deciding factor.

I believe its because of the new shoot-out tie breaker, we have 2 shoot-out wins, they have 0.

Right. The Lightning have 7 wins in regulation, while the Kings only have 6.

Tie Breakers From NHL.com:
Quote:
* The fewer number of games played (i.e., superior points percentage).
* The greater number of games won, excluding games won in the Shootout (NEW for 2010-11).
* The greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs. If two clubs are tied, and have not played an equal number of home games against each other, points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra game shall not be included. If more than two clubs are tied, the higher percentage of available points earned in games among those clubs, and not including any "odd" games, shall be used to determine the standing.
* The greater differential between goals for and against for the entire regular season.

"They didn't really make a whole lot of changes this summer, they added some depth with a few key guys, but they didn't need to make a lot of changes. They are a young team, a quick team, physical and they play their system to a T," Jones said. "I'm not surprised by the success they had, especially coming off the campaign they had last year. It will be good to see them, but hopefully it will be to see them lose (tonight)."

I just don't see Tampa scoring less than 3 tonight, the Kings are giving up too many shots and I expect Tampa to get some out numbered attacks. Just my opinion, I've been wrong before and will be again.

I know the _ucks just held them to 2 goals, but I didn't watch the game, so I don't know how they played. Was Tampa off or was Hiller playing out of their mind? Tampa only had 2 shots in the first, but 15 and 17 shots in the 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

Go Kings!
