Props to Crosby on this one. It's nice to see him square off and giver. Am I deceived or did Crosby want to take his helmet off before they started?

Crosby's 5th career fight. His career fighting record is now 4-1.

Crosby did a decent job there, really wailed on the guy.

But isn't it "illegal" to initiate a fight when you are wearing a visor resulting in a fine or suspension???

By the way Crosby ragdolled him, I don't think he could care less.

Gotta like how Crosby was willing to take off his helmet but Niskanen pussed out.

I don't like Crosby's fighting style. He rend guys down and throw punches. And he starts that immediately when opponent is just dropping his gloves.

Crosby's core strength was obvious from that fight. He was basically able to toss Niskanen around. I have to lol at the people criticizing Crosby for dropping the gloves. I thought he did pretty well.

What about the other 3 fights from the game, each of which also had a Penguin with a shield on who didn't take it off?

Pens have quickly become one of my least favorite teams in the last year and change. Lots of gutlessness on that team.

That's the second ugliest fight I have ever seen. First going to Semin and his banjos.

Yes it is....Kennedy pulled the same stunt against Benn earlier in the game and it also went uncalled.

I like how your all going after the pens even tho dallas pretty much started every fight. They all kept they`re helmets on. And did you guys for one second notice that every dallas star was bigger than the guy he fought. Real cool guys (y)

His strength in general is evident in every Crosby fight. I hate the guy, but I can only imagine how much work he's put into working out.

Nope. There is a difference between initiating a fight and insitgating one. The latter is illegal with a visor on, the former isn't.

Not Crosby's fault Niskanen pussed out on shedding the lids.

That was pretty lame for both guys. I guess Crosby gets the "W" but he really only landed one punch and the rest of the time was just shaking him around. A lot of fights in recent memory (not just Crosby) seem to be going like this. A lot of pushing and pulling but not real fighting. Props for dropping the gloves, but lame win and an even lamer loss for Niskanen.

Move along people, nothing to see here.

This is nothing special. Just Crosby being a cheap ass again.

If you get an instigator and have the visor on, you get an extra 2 min for unsportsmanlike. There's no fine or suspension.

Crosby motioned the drop the lids and Niskanen apparently didn't want to. One of the other fights in this game had the same thing happen. I want to say Kennedy v. Benn, but I'm not sure.

I agree, Sidney Crosby fights an awful lot, so he should probably take on some heavyweights...

It's the games best player fighting. It's not a matter of who he fought, obviously he's not going to be fighting any regulars.

I have to question if people even watch the fight before commenting.(based on reading posts here and especially the main forum).

I don't think I've seen Ovechkin fight.

Niskanen got off one punch to the back of Crosby's helmet right at the beginning, after that it was all Crosby. Not the greatest fight ever but certainly nothing for Sid to be ashamed of. We're not talking about Bob Probert here.
