Nah, I think it was because they thought Silfverberg is carrying his team in the playoffs the same way Forsberg did in the 93/94 playoffs.

I'm feeling a 93-goal, 164-assist rookie season and nothing less.

http://elitserienplay.se/ > Press Highlights > Press the Brynas logo(second from left) up in the banner. All the games for Brynas starting with the latest ones first will turn up.

Not only for you but if someone else wants to invest time doing it.

Why do it the easy way when you can do it the hard way?

Because massaging the ears of a viewer with sexy music makes the player appear that much greater

Sounds like he's hit another level lately...he's got a goal in game 6 so far.

The second period Silfverberg did to Frölunda is one of the best I have ever seen in the top division for many years. Sure, it has passed a lot of good hockey players through our expansive country in recent years, but it was long since any controlled game on the way Jacob Silfverberg made yesterday. At times it seemed as if he did what he wanted on the ice.

Many of the top players in the regular season have seem to regressed in the playoffs. Silfverberg on the other hand has gone into full beast mode.

Both looks of use. That one is more of an instant replay, the other has some more angles and replays.

Ottawa fans has reason to be excited and to have fairly high expectations of him. Still there is always a bit of a different game in the NHL, you never know for sure how a young swede will do. It would be easy to sit here and regard him as a NHL player already, but it's better to call him a promising prospect instead.

I look forwad to see what he can do in the WC. I expect him not to play for Ottawa this season.

What can we expect from him for next year? Is a 40-50 point rookie year realistic?

I think that's being optimistic. I wouldn't expect any more than 30 points, but that's just me doing my best trying not to hype the kid.

Depends entirely in what role he's put in and what line he plays on. From what i understand Ottawa has him penciled in for the third line? At least that's the impression i've gotten from reading posts on this board. If that's the case then i think 40-50 is a bit far fetched.

There will likely be a spot available in the top 6 if he can perform, I do believe he will slide in at some point next season and won't look back. We're not talking about an 18 year old searching for his game, this guy has the tools and the maturity to be a top 6er in the near future.

That was before he emerged as the top player in the SEL.

We don't have 6 guys who have cemented themselves in the top 6.
