Your Artistic flare, big smile and chillness will never be forgotten...
Jays Funk and Aber
I feel the need to make a proper thread, show my respects to who I knew personally. And anyone else... Nicely Please, If you have nothing nice to say, please say nothing.
I read over the last thread and chose to answer some questions;
The name of the three boys were...
Mitch Bracken AKA Aber(I knew him personally and as a friend) Ricardo Conesa(I met him once) Dylan Ford AKA Jays(Probably have seen his tag around montreal, Never met him)
As for Ipods, Mp3s, Alcohol, Drugs... None were actually included as per one of the survivors. Who I have not met, and do not know him. However a good friend of mine, also Mitch's did talk to him.
I wont go into details, but bottom line they were walking with their backs facing the VIA Rail Train. Which these trains do travel at high, and silent speeds.
The train was running 3 hours late, because it had hit someone prior in Toronto... Wow right?
As for some of you criticising these guys, show some respect. I know you call it Graffiti, but these guys are pationate about what they do... They call it painting, and its a High form of art. My friend was a student in college, in fine arts.
Playmaker09 "A few of my friends knew one of the guys pretty well (and have met the others). He was actually at the same Halloween party as them earlier that night and they told me he didn't look to be drunk or high, and I don't really know many people who would do any hard drugs or heavy drinking after leaving a party.
Anyway, the tunnel where they were tagging is meant to be sound-proof and so they didn't hear the train until the last minute. I didn't really push the subject anymore, so that's all I got.
The worst part is that many of the people affected by this were also in this situation about a month or two ago when two guys were killed in a car surfing accident (one of my friends I was talking about earlier played on the Lakers with one of them) as they were all part of a similar, large group of friends."
Just to clear the bolded in Italics... They had finished their tagging where ever it was, and were out of the tunnel.
I wrote this up, just to clear some things up, and honestly it hurt to read some of what I read. I myself am 19 years old, and could very well have chosen to go party with them that night... I could call out a good handful and ask for an apology but that would be tedious... But please show more respect in this thread!
The funeral is tomorrow, from 10am to 4pm closing with the ceremonies. Open Casket. I will not disclose the location. But I will be attending..
I don't mind answering any other questions..? Keep in mind, I myself do not know either of the survivors but am neighbors and good friends with Mitch's Best friend. Hence how I know Mitch...
Let me know if you can't see the videos... Ill send the links or something.

One of the three was the younger brother of a friend of a friend... according to him, they were pretty much just cutting across the tracks and got blindsided by an oncoming train. Whatever they were doing, they didn't deserve this and it IS a tragedy.
I'm glad to see this thread ; the previous one made me sick.
RIP - sucks that people are being disrespectful about it generally. Nobody deserves to die as a result of what they were doing. I do believe generally a lot of these kids who do graffiti really don't do it to cause problems. They actually went to a tunnel to do it rather than some big obvious place I guess...
Really sucks when this type of stuff happens. A friend of mine has a friend whose younger sister jumped in front of the train at 12 years old. The girl had depression problems and her parents never paid her any attention
This obviously is a much more tragic and sadder story as these kids didn't want what was coming to them
The Funeral was held yesterday afternoon. It was at Collins Clark, and had over 300 people at the funeral. Apparently the most that Funeral home has ever seen.
It was pretty difficult being there, It finally sank in at the open casket that he was gone. He also y looked so fake... No smile, no expression. Couldn't take it. However he looked great considering the circumstances.
Ricardo Conesa's Funeral will be held Monday, It however is private, and for relatives and close friends only, I believe...
People are questioning how they could miss the sound of a train, but I figure they were around it all the time / lived near train tracks. When you're exposed to that sound often enough you don't notice it anymore. You can become "immune" to low intensity/low frequency sound.
