When have I ever lied to you ? Insider GDT jokes aside mind you
... but Shellz posted the link, and there was another one or two quotes from Murray that mentioned he'd be sticking to his plan of trying to give Bernier at least 1 game a week, looks like you can take him at his word, although as we know "Things Happen & People can change their minds" .
I would have much rather seen Schenn or Lewis in place of Westgarth, there's no need for him tonight.
Management loves having an enforcer. They look at last game without Westgarth and see Brown boarded, Handzus dropped, Doughty targeted all game, Kopitar sent flying into the end boards and Mitchell having to fight w/ his concussion concerns.
Easiest money ever would have been betting on Westgarth coming back into the lineup tonight.
VS. NASHVILLE ALL-TIME:
Last 10: 2-7-1
Last 10 home: 3-7-0
Last 10 road: 3-6-1
OT Record: 3-2-3 Streaks: Kings have lost 5 straight to Nashville at home (since 1-8-08);
The last time the Kings beat Nashville at home was 10-23-07 (W, 6-0)
Ugggggg ... That Changes TONIGHT ! WE CAN DO IT ! GO KINGS GO !
Crap, I just turned on Center Ice to record the game tonight. It's listed in the lineup on the match up list, but not that actual channel at 7pm. Should I just assume it's because it was a late ad to the schedule?
If you go to the channel that says will be playing the game, it's listed as not playing a game until it repeats the Panther game. Does anyone else see the same thing?
I'm new to the whole DVR thing (yeah I know, where have I been the past 10 years). If I tell it to record the block of times, will it just record whatever is on that channel at the times I'm blocking out?
A little pregame article for you.
Kasey Spatz took some pictures for us of Nashville practice yesterday. I think you'll all find the pictures of Shane O'Brien cringing on the ice after taking a puck to the nuts very satisfying.
I will be wearing the mullet tonight in honor of Smyth...no, not a wig - just have to make some style adjustments.
Also, I may have an extra ticket to tonight's game. If you are interested, send me a PM. That means you are meeting me right outside of Staples at 630. The downside is you have to sit next to me but you do get to enjoy the mullet all game.
With the way he plays the game it's a miracle he made to game #1000. It was nice to read about the ex-oiler staff surprising him with a visit earlier this week, congratulating him on the feat. It really is a big deal, so hats off to Smytty.
