LA looked very good shutting down Tampa, and Anaheim has played better after their terrible start.
Questions for the weekend:
1) Over/under is 20 on different line combos from trotz
2) Can our PP/PK operate at a combined 100% this weekend--meaning the PP and PK totals equal that. something I have always looked at for good teams to acheive. Without looking I woul d guess out pk in the 70-75 range and pp in the 13-16 range. not good enough.
3)Will one of our goalies steal us a win this weekend
4) How many points should we expect from these 2 game? 0, 1, 2, 3, 4?
5) who will step up from the forwards and carry the load? same for the d-men.

1.) Over: 816 combos
2.) <100% ANA is 6th on the PP, and the Kings are only 15th. ANA is 22nd on PK, Kings 4th, but the Kings are a perfect 18/18 at home this season shorthanded.
3.) No.
4.) Before the trip I had a 50/50 chance at PHO, a loss at LAK, and a win at ANA.
5.) Trotz will overplay his defensive forwards in an attempt to shore up the leaky D and G positions. All focus will be on minimizing scoring chances of the opponent, which of course means minimizing the Pred's offensive chances.
Center Ice was supposedly picking up the LA Feed which will be on KCOP ch# 13 locally in LA, will be in HD and w/ Bob Miller & Jim Fox the regular FSN-West crew calling the action.
btw ... Howdy Nashville Fans,
I'm doing up the Kings/Preds GDT on our Kings Board ... http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=838452
... any help w/ roster line-up info, injuries, etc. is appreciated.
Thanks in advance, and good luck w/ the game and your season.
I've not been paying attention to the FOX/DISH battle but I thought it would be blacked out like the other games were. If it's not blacked out, hello, Buffalo Wild Wings.
I never look forward to playing you guys'. You've had our number now for the past 4 seasons . . regardless, looking forward to a good game. Is Suter back in?

Dispute resolved. Kings game will be on Center Ice.
source? what are you considering "not very close"?
Officially, Suter is out through this weekend and will be re-evaluated when the team returns on Monday. If he's not skating Tuesday, I'd rule him out for Thursday and set my sights on next Saturday at the earliest.
FWIW, Tuesday is an open practice at Centennial. This season they are usually starting at 10:30 AM.

Didn't know if there was another update that I had missed, didn't think so. Fingers crossed he skates Tuesday.

Thanks SLake. In any event, here is what I had read and I am SO sorry for not citing it PredsChik20...
"D Ryan Suter was hit by Cory Sarich a little more than two minutes into the game with Calgary Oct. 19. He has been placed on injured reserve with a lower body injury. Expectations were that he might be ready for the St. Louis game, but he has not skated since the injury. He is not expected to be back on the ice for practice until next week."
And for the record, "not close" to me means that he is not practicing.

I might fake an illness to skip work and go watch PRACTICE....I'd LOVE TO SEE EXACTLY WHAT THIS COACHING STAFF IS NOW CALLING WHAT THEY DO AS PRACTICE.

my money says that a win vs anaheim gets a normal practice, a loss gets this thing called an open practice closed and they get bagged. the effort isn't there from everybody
What I need is a good old goalie controversy where Lindback wins in sparkling fashion just to change up the intellectual cannibalism around here.
The debates always suck when the team is losing simply because the same friggin arguments are used. Part of me thinks we just need to get hockey jerseys with fight straps, all meet up at the Spring Hill Union Hall at their inline rink and go at this Anchorman style.
