Ya nice goal by Hamel. I can hear the cheers on the radio! It seems that he's really missed.

- Matt Hoffman had an awesome highlight reel goal though and showed real patience with the puck to score it.

- Bobby Butler is going to be a pretty good player and I think Corey Locke needs another look up in the NHL..

I would think either of these guys could do Winchester's job.

- It amazes me how Roman Wick was probably the Swiss's best player in the Olympics and just tonight got his first point.

Elmira lost 6-3, Cousineau was pulled after two goals and then Brodeur had to weather the storm.

Different game. Very different game.

Butler and Locke may be able to do a job up here, but I doubt either would be able to do Winchester's. More likely they would come in to take Shannon's spot.

Wins draws (55% last year, he's having a bad start so far but it's a very small sample size). Good shorthanded. Wins most of his battles on the boards and maintains possession of the puck in the offensive zone.

A good fourth line player. Butler and Locke, while they have their merits, would be out of place on a fourth line that already has Ryan Shannon fulfilling that offensive role.

Butler will probably be in the NHl even as soon as late this yr or next season but Locke IMO will be a career NHLer.

Butler's making a lot of noise in Bingo. I think he might make a strong case for himself being an NHLer by January. Great bounce back game.

Eh, I'm not so sure on that..possibly a season and a half in the A then perhaps, but regardless the kid has the tools to develop and playing w/ Locke and Keller helps..

Good to see Greening playing with Locke & Butler on the top line, he seems to have made an impression & is contributing on the scoreboard.

I think Butler is going to be that younger top 6 winger we so need..

He is a GREAT signing from Murray and will make 3x the noise Winchester ever has.

He has great finish as well. It is hard to see if it is just Locke giving him the chances or not, I honestly think we will see him with Spezza in the future.

Locke reminds me of a more offensively gifted Ebbett, but probably not being as good defensively

Brust - it's on the GDT post under the line combinations.

I think once Brodeur is back Lehner should be sent down to the ECHL to play a lot of games.. I think him just getting shelled every time he plays could hurt his confidence and Brust deserves to stay in Binghamton.

I know Butler is more offensively talented then Winchester, but in hindsight Winchester should have played a year in the ahl to develop a little bit more of an offensive game

Agreed. Lehner is one of those "the future" goalies but I think Brodeur is better and deserves the playing time in Bingo more than Lehner. The net is actually really crowded now because Brust has been fantastic so I don't see justification for sending him down so I'm hoping Lehner will go down. Getting the Crunch GDT ready as we speak.
