I'm starting to wonder. Mind you, not for the reasons you say.
They've shown signs of being a good team this year, after being a terrible one last year. But they've been weaker over the last 3-4-5 games. Not quite as terrible as last year, but not quite as good as earlier this year either.
Mind you, this one is the tail end of a 2-in-2. I wouldn't draw sweeping generalization on that.
I wonder if they're going back to what they were last year, in which case we might just have enough games left to see them get into the lottery.
Price has been there all year. Gomez-Gionta have been MIA all year, but Andrei and Cammy have been MIA for a couple weeks now too. Plekanec and our 4th line can't do it all by themselves... Nobody is storming the slot anymore, or putting pucks on net for rebounds, or fighting for rebounds... I've honestly seen more offensive intelligence from my nephew's 12 y/o AA team.
