Sidney Crosby • Alexander Ovechkin - "RISE"

I just wanted to share this video I put together. Made only for entertainment. Not to prove a point on who is the better player. I hope you guys like it!

Wicked. Should have been a story for the next two decade and would have helped the sport grow. I've never seen the rain video before. That was cool.

sgetting tired of videos like this. all these false brave looks, brave music, rain drops... same ideas all the time. Just like another unwatchable hollywood blockbuster.

As opposed to poor video editing and just clips put together? then you would be complaining about how it is too simple. False brave looks? Not sure what that means but if you are referring to the clips of them on the ice actually playing, what makes them false?

Great video, you're clearly a very talented video editor. If I had to make one critique I'd say that it's kinda all over the place. There seems to be different phases or chapters of the video and it just kinda switches over rapidly without a smooth transition.

Having said that, I don't want it to seem like I'm crapping on it, it was very well done. Just figured a little bit of constructive criticism wouldn't hurt.

There's no question that Crosby's better. But it's hard not to be better when you've got the advantage of being Mario's pool boy.

Sorry for harsh words but too much of cliche in the beginning. It is ok though if you're just learning.

I thought it was really good. There are a couple of things I might have done differently e.g. I would have put more highlights in the 3:22-4:05 sequence, but it was otherwise a good job.

I was refferring to them standing like in front of each other staring etc. not those parts when they are on the ice. That guy did a great job putting together YET another good hockey video. I do believe he does not want to make something that have been made several times already. That's why the critics.

It's hard to avoid cliches in the hockey world.

I miss this rivalry and the debates that we used to have on this board in particular. If there's one reason why I'm hoping Ovie eventually rediscovers his best form, it's to bring this rivalry back.

I thought that was really cool. The Batman music and Bane's voice in the background was really cool and really fitting, despite it sounding kind of cheesy when you say it out loud like that.

eh it was ok. I don't get the batman usage. a little more highlights for crosby would be good. This isn't a debate anymore though. Crosby is clearly better now.

I'm more tired of highlight reels with generic metal. The only video I like, that fits that description is the Lindros best hits highlights, because he's badass. I'll post the vid later.

I really enjoyed your video, thanks for sharing it. It makes a guy remember how good it was to be a hockey fan in the spring of 2009. I doubt I will ever forget that series. It was possibly the best showcase of two marquee players going head to head in the history of the game. That it happened so recently and how different it might look now is also remarkable.
