Datsyuk obviously, but...

is it just me, or is Kane significantly improved this year? I'm a Wings fan, but I caught a fair number of Hawks games for the past few years because the Wings play them a lot, and because I like the way their team is built. IMO, a similar philosophy and playstyle to the Wings.

This year it seems like he's just kicked it up a couple of levels.

Datsyuk being the dangler of dangles I can't even put him in this list:

Hemsky, Giroux, Kopitar, P. Kane, Ryan, Ribeiro, Eberle, Duchene, Spezza, Malkin

Ennis is a better dangler than Vanek (although Vanek's been a lot better this year)

Ovechkin was ridiculous at dangling in his rookie season and earlier years, don't seem him dangle as often now.

It's pretty impressive that Datsyuk is an established vet and still dangles often, usually you see younger guys come into the league and try dangling and it may work at first, but soon it stops working..not for Datsyuk.

As a Sabres fan, I remember Vanek trying to dangle a lot in his rookie year - you rarely ever see him attempt to now.

He's always been this good, but the drive is really there this season. The whole team is hungry.

I know these bumped threads always get shut down, but can someone explain why?

If it's not spam or trolling, I think it's legitimately interesting to see how our perspectives change over time.

Yeah but I'm talking strictly hands. His moves are just way tighter this year.

Im astonished it took this long for a Bobby Ryan mention... He has to be amongst the best.

Whenever I watch Perron (and hes not lying on the ice), I see a winger version of Datsyuk. Needs to be mentioned here as a good dangler.

Nash...

His moves on a nightly basis leave me with my mouth open.

As a Ranger fan, I haven't seen a player with these moves since a young Kovalev was playing 6 minutes shifts... Jagr was strong but older by the time he got to NY.

Nash is sick. Only a matter of time before he settles in and starts potting some of his chances...

Otherwise, the Pitt boys show up in my nightmares quite often.

Bobby Ryan definitely deserves to be in the top 10.

His dangle against the Preds in the playoffs say it all.

Looking at these lists, I think a lot of people morph great player into their dangles list.

Example - Crosby is not a dangler. He's a lot of things, but that straight-ass stick he uses makes him look like he's playing floor hockey sometimes. Eberle, on the other hand, could stick-handle in a phone booth. The guy has unreal dangles, but not Crosby's finish yet.

Best dangler in the NHL - Rick Nash. Datsyuk is a close second.

Yes really. Youtube some of his stuff. His shootout moves can be repetitive but they always make the goalie look stupid. But for in game scenarios every game he pulls of some kind of sweet dangle that gets the crowd going.

His nickname is "nifty mittens" for a reason.

If I didnt feel like he wasnt worthy he wouldnt have made my list.

This thread was made in 2010, he was a little bit unknown back then.
