Yes, unfortunately for the Azzuri he retired from international play, there was some specualtion he would come out of international retirement to play in the Euro 2004, but he decline Trappatoni invitation prior to the tournament, Fabio Cannavaro has taken over the role of skipper

And yes, Andrea Pirlo is a very, very good player, he'll definately help the Italian attack from deep midfield, he has a wonderful touch on his long balls to the strikers...something Zanetti and Pessoto could not do last match

Too bad Maldini retired from International play. Maldini-Cannavaro-Nesta-Zambrotta would really be awesome.

You don't get to see many football games, do you? The goal was nice, but hardly "unbelievable".. It was Prso btw.. Monaco striker.

You are not a nice knowledgable soccer fan, are you?

Anyways, Denmark vs. Bulgaria is close to being put in the books, and I honsestly say that ths is the worst officiated match so far at Euro 2004. I still can't believe that the referee didn't call the foul on the Bulgarian player close to the denamrk zone, yet he gave yellow card after yellow card to Bulgaria.

I know, Sweeden is a darkhorse for this tournament...they've got a few good players, Larsson, Ljundberg, Ibramovich and a few others that I can't spell but so does Italy, it'll be interesting to see how Italy bounces back after the dismal effort on Monday and especially the loss of who coach Trappatonni called the single most important player on the team, Franseco Totti...

are they using the same formation as the other game, but with cassano is Totti's place?

Sorry about all the questions, but it's hard being at work on a Friday afternoon while there is Euro soccer going on

I knew he was going to have a strong game, although it's still early...I think he just missed a chance didn't he?

yeah it was a good chance created by zambrotta and Del Pierro missed the goal about 1 meter.
