So if we take out Boyd and O'ByrneMs salaries we would have 2 289 819$ in cap space according to capgeek.

Go nuts guys!

Watching Spacek play (and Gill too) is a nightmare. At least MAB can help the PP for sure.

Maybe Palushaj for the GG winger position? I'd approve of that.

I love the speculation though. Smart time to do it.

Bieksa has been rumored to be on the block, and a few rumors around the Habs being interested in him as well. Now the Canucks are already in Montreal and play against the Habs tomorrow. Boyd has 24 hours to clear, and reports are not stating Martin I believe says he knows of a possible team interested in Boyd. Which gives the Habs decent cap space. O'Byrne is rumored to be on the outs in Montreal as well. BC boy and Vancouver would probably want a guy like O'Byrne.

24 hours of Boyd on waivers would lead it up to the game its self, just a couple of coincidences IMO. Could the Habs see a similar Metropolit deal. Same night play against Philly and they get him before the game, would be funny to see again.

Just the timing what makes the whole thing funny. Love hockey in Montreal.

To me it doesn't seem like a Martin move. First of all the kids player few games. Martin and Co seem like the types to give players a chance after a while not instantly. I know Eller and a few others say contrary, but not every player is an Eller, Pouliot or Subban lets not forget.

I do think if it is Palushaj it's out of necessity but I more-so see it being something like Aaron on the 3rd or 4th line where as Pouliot being moved up to the 2nd. I think what Martin might be trying to achieve this year is 3 scoring lines and this might be why other lines are suffering.

In some games I find myself asking myself where has the Plek line been all night, and no I'm not referring to the game where he was sick and yes I do see him on the PK, but I mean the A line specifically, some games I find they're actually underused as a unit.

It's funny because I've always loved Bieksa and thought he could do better than what he's done. One year I remember he was killer for the Nucks in the playoffs, might have been like 3-4 years ago though. He's always been a player that has intrigued me and that I've wanted our team to take a gamble on.

We should make our own speculation thread in the main or habs board and see if Eklund suddenly reports it

Guys I've got an e5

O'Byrne and a 1st

For

Bieksa

That would leave Spacek out in cold:

Markov - Bieksa
Hamrlik - Subban
Gill - Gorges
Picard

According to what I've heard on the radio, Nolan told every team he wanted to play, went to Sweden to prove he stillcan, and has an out clause.

People want White up. Bottom 6 play is not the problem with this team. He will help...but the Habs need offensive help right now.

I was thinking the same haha and i think Burrows is now back with vancouver correct? the deal was said to be on hold until someone came back from injury i wouldnt mind Markov, O'Byrne for Bieksa, Salary($2.5-$4) player, a 1st and a young prospect.

I don't think there'll be a move of this magnitude

Please not Bieksa. I don't even know why some people think we would want him. He has been going downhill the past two seasons.

Desharnais is our best player in Hamilton right now and he should get the call up.
Also if PG can get Bieksa somehow I'm all for trading Hammer for a prospect or picks.

Kosty-Pleks-Cammy
Gio-Gomez-Desharnais
Pouliot-Halpern-Darche
Pyatt-Lapierre-Moen

Markov-Bieksa
Subban-Picard
Gorges-Spacek
Gill

They're going to recall Max Pac in between games and reassign him before game time just to screw with his head a little.

In typical fashion my guess would be that Boyd stays with the team and status quo is kept. Although it's exciting to hope, I just don't see any movements for the moment.

How about we waive Gomez and call up Desharnais and Palushaj. Can't possibly be any worse.

#1. Yannick Weber has been the best Hamilton Bulldog this season.
#2. David Desharnais is what 5'7"-5'10" we need someone with size to play with gomez and gionta not another small guy. a 6" or taller winger via trade would be nice and perfect. a young talented winger out of dallas would be nice, or even a tall center then can alternate to wing
