I am a huge supporter of the Reg and Bouw combo!

GO FLAMES! Time to take it back to the .500 mark. Honestly I'm kind of happy with our standing right now, this should put the pressure on early and light a fire under every players ass. I don't know how it couldn't seeing as the flames lost so many games thus far that they clearly should have won.

I hope we're able to play a good bang-n-crash game with them... can't keep up with Avalanche skating... but make 'em hurt and think twice.

If they do that, Flames 3-1
If not, Avalanche 2-0

>_>

Kyle Quincey out with concussion. David Liffiton is replacing him.

Why did we even bother with picking up Mikkelsson when Bsutts just puts staios in over him anyways?

just a crazy idea... perhaps depth?... Brodie was clearly not NHL ready and Pardy got hurt... would you prefer to have 6 guys and no one to plug n if there is an injury or illness?

Wouldn't be surprised if it was all politics... Brent's gotta keep Staios playing just to save face for the stupid trade his brother made.

it's not like Mikkelson has done anything extraordinary to keep himself in the lineup... if he was playing really well I might agree... but at this point... who cares?... neither is playing better than the other

give up the conspiracy ********... seriously its just stupid... Mikkelson has been ok, not great nor bad... and he was in the lineup during 3 of our 4 loses in a row... Staios played last game when the team played better... what sense would it make to go back to the lineup that looked uninspired the 3 previous games?

This is true for pretty much every team the Flames come up against, and it's really getting irritating.

I didn't even see this stupid post until it was quoted... we can skate with anyone... the problem comes when the players don't skate... which happens far too often

IMO Mikkelson was on of our best defencemen during those 3 games where we lost, I thought his game was coming around nicely as a physical presence as well.

But I agree, At this point I am fine with Staois and Mikkelson swapping in and out of the line up. Makes for good competition.

And therein lies one of the inherent problems with the Flames IMO. The best players should almost always be... the best players.

That's not a knock on Mikkleson, rather some of his teammates.

When scoring first, our winning % is .500, when trailing first, it's .333.

Well since they flames had previously scored the first goal in last five game but manage to only win one of those games and scored the first goal in ten consecutive games until this one.. Thought like the announcer on sportsnet said could b a good thing flames didn't score first. A change.

We should think about trading Moss, just seems like there is no room for him on this team
