Good article. If the Stars have had 4 days alone with Crawford, I expect tons of blown coverages and bad outlet passes in their own zone during tonight's game.

Nice story... I like the quote from Crawford at the end. Gave me a chuckle.

Anybody else get a kick out of how the NHL Network is raving about Anaheim being 1 point out of 1st in the west? They forgot to mention that they've played 4 more games than LA, STL and Detroit.

Yeah that's pretty amusing.

They are basically a .500 team right now. I mean come on, Chicago is technically in a playoff spot right now and they are 2 games below .500.

Too early to be raving about anyone unless they're win % is ridiculously high... like ours

hey kings fans, curious avs fan coming in peace.
Why hasn't Doughty been putting up points? I know he was injured early on, is it just a case that he is recovering still, hasn't found his groove and he is still playing great defensively? I have JJ in my pool and a guy is looking to trade Doughty so I was going to make an offer but wanted some input first.
thanks in advance! and good luck tonight

They have won 5 in a row. Just because we hate them doesn't mean they aren't doing well...

Nobody is saying they aren't doing well. Considering they're the _ucks, they're doing rather well. Any team lacking defense that stays near .500 is doing well.

What is being questioned is TV talking about the _ucks like they've accomplished something by being 1 point back of the conference lead when they have played 4 more games than everyone else.

If the _ucks had a week off and LA/StL/Det/Van/CLB/Minn/Dal all played the 3-4 games they have in hand, nobody would be talking about the Ducks because they likely wouldn't even be in a playoff spot.

It's nothing against the _ucks, it's ignorance by the TV guys that the _ucks have played 3-4 more games to get to 19 points.

Did I read somewhere that we are doing something different than the national anthem tonight so fans won't yell "stars"?

Gotta have the Star-Spangled banner on Veterans day.

Let the Stars have their fun in the pre-game. Might be the only chance they get...

First game in awhile.. let's see if this team is worthy of their record by preparing like an elite team, instead of falling on their face like years past. Tough luck about our injury situation too..

Part of it is the Kings power play at home has been abysmal and I think Doughty has played mostly in home games. He is having a lot of pressure put on him both at even strength and PP. I think he'll still have a decent year but I wouldn't give up anything too substantial in a trade to get him. He is still playing well defensively but he was way overranked by Yahoo this year. I don't even think he'll exceed last year's point totals but I'm not an expert. That is just my opinion.

I need a win on my birthday Kings!

It would become a pretty sweet day if we can pick back up after our second ridiculously long break of the early season (scheduler is an east coaster no doubt) and get a win tonight.

Go Kings Go!

I'm sure the NHL Network guys were just talking about them because they are on a win streak (I didn't see it). Let's face it, had it been any other team they were talking about, it wouldn't even had been mentioned here.
