Been at work all day, looks like it was a bad game for our team, probably isn't worth re-watching?

Just hope we have better luck tomorrow, I think Theo will have a good game tomorrow. How was Backs tonight?

Backs sucked like the rest of the team. You picked a good game to miss. I wish I would've steam-washed my carpet instead.

You might want to watch so the "attendance" thing makes sense, but otherwise no. It was a bad game where no one showed up, Backs let in a couple softies and the top-six was as bad as I've seen them be.

Thanks for the recaps.

Haha, from reading Russo's tweets at work, it sure seemed like a crappy one.

I guess it's OK that I missed the last two periods. Yuck.

I'm pretty sure it was OK to miss the entire game.

To be totally honest, we tell better jokes about our own attendance. You guys really don't bother us.

Atlanta is a corporate city of transplants. It's more a testament that Minnesota isn't exciting enough to bring out fans. Chicago, NYR, Pittsburgh, Detoilet, and about 5 other teams bring in tons more fans. That's why the NHL won't let a franchise leave Atlanta.

We are the best Neutral Site in the NHL.

Give it time. MSP's a Delta hub now.

I've met two of them. One worked at a nightclub called Knocturnal in downtown Hotlanta as a shooter girl that I got her number from at NYE and the other I met after their final home game against Tampa Bay 3 years ago who was an absolute sweetheart. So I was intrigued

And please don't take it as a snide comment about Minny not bringing out the fans. There were some scattered Minnesota folks there tonight, but I don't think a lot of people from Minnesota live down here.

Delta runs Atlanta's airport. Good luck this season. I have to take Delta to MSP to go to the Mall of America!

Thoughts:

1. Forecheck? Winning any battles anywhere on the ice?
2. Seriously? I didnt know they were playing the washington capitals tonight.
3. Embarrasing...hold that thought...humiliating
4. Koivu should have broken up that shorty, no excuse for that. It was definitely game over after that one.
5. Need another bag skate
6. Mittens back on the first line....just kill me already
7. Waste of a perfectly good thursday night
8. Should have been drunk
9. Always Sunny is my bible
10. Goodnight

I'm wondering what would be the results after a second one. I know they can't actually do one these days but maybe after the road trip eh?

*considering they would have a really bad road trip

They were just faster than us, and their big forwards out muscled our defenders, who were more concerned with laying the big hit than pinning the forwards to the boards.

Same thing as always. Forwards can't break the puck out or keep it in the offensive zone, so the defense starts chipping it out, and we get pinned in our zone for the entire game.

that game was ****ing awful. watched via DVR and regretted it. even at 3x speed you could tell how badly we sucked. no energy. none.

At 3x speed the Wild would look like they should have in real time.

From Russo:

Quote:
When it came to battle for pucks, the Wild waved a white flag and surrendered dozens.

"We've started to chart battles won and lost," Thrashers coach Craig Ramsay said. "We were well ahead in won battles. I think we went 8-0 to start the game. When you do that, you're telling the other bench you're ready to play."

Conversely, the Wild told the Thrashers it wasn't.
If Richards isn't tracking puck battles, he should. It's a far more telling stat than +/- or a number of other real time stats.
