Damn Vinny, something doesn't look right when you're not in the lineup. I hope that's a big motivation boost for the team. Hustle it home!

I don't have much hope for this one considering all our injuries.

we still have the best nhl scorer and one of the best playmaker and without a real second line they will play around 25 minutes....so more chance to score. And Pouliot and Harju could bring more offense on the bottom lines

I'm actually more optimistic about tonight than last night despite the injuries. The Penguins at Consol are an anomaly. We can take advantage.

Sadly i'm gonna miss most of it as i'm flying to Chicago tonight for the weekend.

Malone with Stamkos and Marty again. Maybe that lights his fire again and we see pre-Olympic Bugsy again.

Is Kubina getting the A while Vinny's out or do we give it to a forward?

Good question. Last time when Vinny was out they gave Malone the A. But Ohlund was out at the time as well.

We usually play good against the penguins.

Am I the only one who has been impressed with Ritola? I like the little things he does, guy has some skill and if he keeps progressing I can see him playin some top-6 minutes

I've been impressed too, but I've honestly been impressed with everyone. When we were healthy, the Purcell-Moore-Bergenheim line was the best third line I've ever seen us have. And the Tyrell-Thompsan-Hall line is as effective as any fourth line since the dirt line.

I do, time to see what the future holds for us. Tyrell has shown in the last three games that hes a step better than the fourth line guys hes paired with, I think he should get some time with Moore whos positionally sound and quick, and Harju with that hard, accurate shot.

There are a lot of variable the Pens can't prepare for that could work out in our favor.

Lets see what kind of effort the boys show tonight, I don't expect a good game also, two nights in a row, Smith in net and with some injuries don't have hig hopes... but it's hockey and is the Lightning, so I will be supporting the team! Let's go Bolts!!!!!

It will be interesting to see Harju and Pouliot again. Since being cut by the team, both have been on fire offensively for Norfolk

Pouliot is tied for 4th in scoring in the AHL with 4 goals and 18 points in 12 games.

Harju is tied for 8th in scoring in the AHL with 7 goals and 16 points in 12 games.

Bolts fans,
Coming in peace, nice GDT.

I have Downie on my fantasy team, can anyone shed some light on his injury?
Ive read its his back but there was a hint that there might be something else as well.

Also when he returns is he likely to get his spot on the first line back or could Malone take that over?

Any help is much appreciated(im not getting any PIMs without him lol) thanks!

Boucher said he is optimistic that Downie will be ready to play by Sunday. He also loves to juggle his lines so both Malone and Downie could and will end up with St. Louis and Stamkos at some point. The Downie probably won't play top-6 minutes right away once he returns, though.

Any guesses on the lineup?

If the past several games are a reliable indicator then we'll probably continue to see Hall with Stamkos and St. Louis. Maybe Boucher will dress 7 defensemen. Still, I'm going to go on a limb and predict something like this:

Purcell-Stamkos-St. Louis
Malone-Moore-Harju
Bergenheim-Pouliot-Ritola
Hall-Thompson-Tyrell

Clark-Hedman
Lundin-Kubina
Ohlund-Jones

Smith
Ellis

Not holding out much hope for tonights game. Our awesome top six has dwindled down to an excellent top 2 and Malone.

On the bright side though, very much looking forward to seeing Harju play.
