sadly, foppa is done. he can say it is his last last last shot trying to come back but it won't get past a few exhibition games in sweden. it pains no one more than me to say it, but his foot won't hold.

now, i've never been so ready to be wrong and eat crow! make it happen!

That should go without saying, my fear though is that they wont and they'll promote Tony Granato.....

Regarding this ^^^ comment: If the Pens do that, Il'l stop watching until they fire him. Center Ice FTW. Granato has proven nothing as a coach.

The most horrible prospect (pun intended) of this whole situation? How are we supposed to make jokes about tanking when the 2011 Draft class looks like ass? We might get the 5th pick and get stuck with another Eric Christiansen.

But he's not walking through that dressing room door anytime soon; and if he did, he'd likely slip on a towel and break his leg, the way things are going for him this season.
This comment about J.Staal gave me a good laugh out loud (unfortunately).

Screw Forsberg, but I'll take Jagr.

Just imagine Jags on a line with Geno... that would be amazing.

Puck Daddy is one of the best, if not the best, roundup of NHL info out there. That's why Pens VP of communications Tom McMillan relies on it for his daily digest of league news.

Good God, Forsberg in a Penguins jersey is enough to make me vomit.

Without any question one of my most hated players in league history...even when he was an Av and they were my #2 team (brother lives there) I couldn't stand the way the pissant plays hockey.

That was mostly tough in cheek (hence the bad Quebecois style spelling), but I always thought Forsberg was the closest to Crosby's style I've seen.

You mean a rougher Crosby with a bit more diving thrown in?

Not too bad..

Muck up your ice to slow other teams down, worked for the Patriots who used to water the field to slow down fast teams.
The article was pretty basic and did nothing but point out the complete obvious. Half the people here do a better job of being more indepth even if at times they might be wrong.

yet again playing through one of those stretches where you hear more "I thought despite not scoring, Geno played one of his best games of the season" than "Malkin's hat trick leads Penguins to victory."
This part is so true it made me cry

IMO i think that Peguins should be shoping for a new top 3 or 6 winger. I understand that shero only wanted to make the defence better during silly season but c'mon this is insane having michalek on a 4 million in cap and martin on 5 mil. And Comrie is not doing very well on wing and that tangradi is not getting a chanse is just stupid.

IMHO i think malkin should play center because i think he plays better when he is center. Should the penguins maybe thinking about tradeing away kennedy, orpik or even staal to get a new winger?

Shero will always listen to offers, and talks with other GM's frequently by his own admission, but he's never been a impulse kind of GM. He has said if it makes sense, then he will deal.

I'm sure his phone hasn't been dead the first month or so, and Staals injury might have prolonged the inevitable.
