Crap contract?It's a 1 year deal worth $3 million.

Huselius has the crap contract with another $4.75 million cap hit next season.

The Rangers don't take on extra years in trades. They haven't made that type of trade since trading a 3rd round pick for Sandis Bozolinsh in 2006. They aren't taking on term/contracts past this season. They have numerous key group II's to sign this summer.

You can have Drury for those two. Brian Burke and Ron Wilson can sweet talk Drury into waiving his NMC. All American pride.

Ok, done. I wouldn't go Lapierre *and* Moen per Darth Joker's offer, but one of them would be worth a try.

We do have some need on this team for the size/grit that Lapierre/Moen have, but we are also short 1 top-6 skill forward. I'm not sure if Frolov would be the answer, but at least it's not a lot to give up in an experiment. And it's just for 1 year.

It would really make things tight on the cap for the Habs, though. Kicking over any Eller bonus, plus $1.5Mish now, plus Lapierre's salary gets us within some tiny sliver of being able to handle Frolov's $3M. It would need a more careful calculation. Maybe not doable. Maybe it would have to be Moen instead of Lapierre purely for cap reasons.

They took a flyer on a guy who has had success in the league. They gave him a one year deal. That's a crappy contract?

lmfao is he still at it with those damn wraparounds? What the hell is the success rate of a wraparound in the NHL these days, .001%? Is he at least still strong with his puck possession play? Haven't seen much of NYR this year

He's really just been snakebitten. I think he's looked good for the most part, but for some odd reason nothing is bouncing his way. He's even had two goals taken away that WERE goals.

I could get behind that. Always like Dupuis, think hes a Torts kind of player.

We need RW prospects, so Nick Johnson seems like a fit.

I'd like to see him on the Wild.

Straight-up for Brunnette or Kobasew or Miettinen, all 2.33m/year, UFAs.

I was really unhappy we left Frolov walk for nothing, and I thought we were going to miss his services.

Surprisingly, I havent even thought about him until I saw this thread.

Our cycle game has actually improved this year... and now I see why. Fro tends to try and be a 1-man show, and is truly amazing with his puck control skills... but even the best 1-man show is not going to be superior to team effort on the cycle.

I hope he's able to find success in NY, but his departure has not been noticed much.

I'd actually do the vast majority of those moves as a Rangers fan - except the Buff deal really.

I'd probably do it, even though Johnson should really be given another call up before being dealt.

Door #3 is some serious overpayment. I wouldn't do the deal, if the habs want Frolov they'll just wait. That having been said though I could see them signing Gagne or somebody better anyways.
