I think the unsung hero for the kings is Zues. His demenor, patience and overall smart play just glues this team together. He does all the little things, plays in every situation, and just gets the job done.
Ah yes, Handzus. He is really is quite amazing.

You hardly ever see him mess up. Damn good player. I want to see him to stay around forever

Look I know you're just trying to stir the pot to get reactions, so this is the last I'll say about it.

An emphatic "No Sale" on your put-downs of Kopitar & Brown. With Kopitar on the half wall and Doughty/Johnson at the points, as well as any number of guys you could name on the Kings who are setting up in front of the goaltender, I anticipate an excellent season on the power play. I truly don't see the problems that you appear to have with Kopitar's very strong 2-way play.

oh I love their game... and LOVE me some JMFW and Stollie but do you really think they are going to be PPG players?

NHL.com is a disgrace.

No need for any comment to why.

umm no you don't? i have zero problems with Kopitar's 2-way play... that isn't the concern... as I've said I should have clarified the Brown comment... wasn't about his "play"...

11-3. What more can you say? Seriously. For the people complaining about Kopi... he doesn't dominate, but he's still playing well. I'd rather him get through his funk when the team is on fire and isn't relying on him, honestly. The craziest thing is that while the team is playing well, not all of the pieces are playing the way they can. Once guys like Doughty, Kopi, Handzus and Simmer get going, we look really good.

Also, just to put it out there again... Justin Williams is the man. THE man.

The reffing was... odd in this game. After the Stoll no goal you could see things start to get chippy and out of hand and they just called nothing, then the 3rd comes around and they call everything.

I love the thread on the main board with all the Dallas and Ducks fans crying about how much the Kings dive. Their bitter, sore loser tears are delicious.

Except that the tie-breaker rules only come into play when teams have the same number of points. Washington is #1. Kings are #2 over Philly because we have played fewer games.

TIE-BREAKING PROCEDURE
* - Division leaders are seeded 1, 2, and 3 in Conference standings. If two or more clubs are tied in points during the regular season, the standing of the clubs is determined in the following order:
1. - The fewer number of games played (i.e., superior points percentage).
2. - The greater number of games won, excluding games won in the Shootout (NEW for 2010-11).
3. - The greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs. If two clubs are tied, and have not played an equal number of home games against each other, points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra game shall not be included. If more than two clubs are tied, the higher percentage of available points earned in games among those clubs, and not including any "odd" games, shall be used to determine the standing.
4. - The greater differential between goals for and against for the entire regular season.

The Duck Fans and Dallas fans are just mad, that the Kings are no longer a Pacific Division Doormat.

I fully expect a ton of threads of how the Kings tanked and got all 1st round picks, if they win the Cup.
