hmmm...interesting lineup. Wonder if the old man is a scratch or minor injury.

Maybe practice lines have uncovered a weird little cohesion gem in the form of Tangs - BMo - Iggy? I'd try anything at this point for Iggy to get his points streak going.

Ya that is really puzzling. Stajan has been struggling lately but throwing him all the way to the 4th line is ridiculous. And what has Morrison done to deserve the promotion? Backlund has played great the last couple of games he should be given a promotion for a game. Let Stajan and Morrison battle it out for the 3rd and 4th line.

Hate to say it but if these are the lines we best be looking at the 2nd and 3rd lines for scoring because that 1st line will continue to struggle with BMo as the centre.

2nd on the team in scoring would be my guess.

Booooo...negativity. I'm interested to see what Mo can do playing with Iggy. I'm just glad Iggy's getting some options cause it can't get much worse in terms of production.

I would agrue that Backlund has been our best "overall" and most consistent Centre so far this season. I would like to see him get a chance to centre the top line. If Morrison only does so so, I think he will get a chance.

I almost couldn't resist the picture change as well.

Stajan to the 4th line makes sense if you take into account:
  • Hagman - Backlund - Moss were the best line last game, so you definately want to keep them together.
  • Meyers - Jokinen - Jackman would be an abomination of a line.

So taking Stajan off the top line (while keeping him center) really leaves you with the 4th line as the only option.

But who knows if the lines will even last the whole game, so we'll see.

I will agree with that but i just don't BMo being the answer, well see how it works out.

This. Gotta try something else on that first line, and if it means putting Stajan on the 4th line, oh well.

That second line should be a handful. Being that both Borque and Glencross are shoot first players, and Jokinen has found a home in front of the net, that line will really change momentum by generating chances. Afterwards, Sutter will send in his goal scorers, leaving Hagman, Backlund, and Moss to finish the job. If that fails...the so-called "top-line" might get lucky. And Honestly, I can see meyer and stajan really working well together, its just that stajan is too small and fragile to be on an energy line that's suppose to be wearing the other team down with checks and hustle. Maybe it'll work

If it means we stick our #2 C down on the 4th line and have 4 lines that have the ability to score ala Sabres style several years ago, I'd be happy

I don't know how the whole salary situation will work out, but once Kotalik is back that's a real possibility... Meyer-Stajan-Kotalik? That's a third line, not a fourth line.

Stajan has not been playing up to standards. He deserves a kick in the ass a checking duty with the 4th line. Sutter is sending a message to deliver or else... I'm surprised that the Captain hasn't been given more of a demotion or had his playing time cut more. He deserve it just as much as Stajan imo.

Like any game Sutter will use Stajan at points on different lines.

All I can hope for at this point is that Sutter can trade for Savard. He is now skating again. If we trade or bury Staios we have the CAP space to do it. A bit of a gamble.

That and Jokinen has been playing the "right" way and Sutter doesn't want to be sending the wrong message to Jokinen or the team that if you play the way he wants, you could still get demoted. Sutter wants to reward players that play the right way and play his system and work hard and are consistent. Jokinen has done that. I think he has been one of our best players production aside.

Why? He was having a good pre-season till injured, give him a chance at least. But i guess his injury was pretty serious, i am guessing a high ankle sprain, could still be gone for a while

Glad to see Glencross finally getting some top 6 time. Come on Glennie pot a few goals so they have no choice but to keep you up there. You deserve it!!

Staois again.... ugh.

But.. should be a doozy! Let's get it!!!

I agree. I think Glencross could drop 20 goals this year with the right linemates and enough ice time. I think Moss could do the same, so hopefully they'll feed off each other's success.
