Jack Johnson to the Bruins!!

What would the Kings want in return for Johnson?

What about a package of...Wheeler + Hunwick + Bostons 2nd round pick in 2011 for Johnson?

He would look great with Chara IMO

Bruins also save 2.225 in cap space!!!

That wouldn't do it at all. That's way off.

I doubt that package gets JJ probably would be a 1 for 1 trade not a package of small pieces.

I don't know maybe Lucic for Johnson?

Jack will be a top-pairing guy. This deal doesn't do it for LA. It would have to be a top-3 player straight-up, or a top-6 and high pick(or equivalent value) coming back.

Kings don't need Wheeler or Stuart. Why should they trade a top defenseman for leftovers?

bergeron and tor 1st for johnson

convert schenn to winger

= kings get a great top 6 afterwards and bruins gets a great top 4.

and if they can't convert schenn to winger, well then just draft couturier

If JJ were traded to Boston, it makes zero sense to send Hunwick back the other way!

Kings fans won't be looking to shake up their team right now.

JJ seems to finally be hitting his stride this year and there are rumors of a three year contract extension. It would take a pretty big overpayment to get Johnson from the Kings

No deal with BOS makes sense. JJ is too important to LA to trade unless it's for an upgrade.

No reason for LA to deal JJ. The only reason LA makes a move is to add something to this year's team, without subtracting something from this year's team... a deadline deal where they send a prospect for a player.

And adding Matt Hunwick to a package doesn't increase it's value. That's like SJ offering Boston Logan Couture for Boston and when a Boston fan says, "That's not enough" the SJ fan says, "OK we'll add Niklas Wallin."

Adding a 6th dman to a package doesn't really do it.

I think both LA and Boston are contenders this year, so that typically doesn't make for great trading partners unless it is a perfect match. Both teams will be looking to add someone at the deadline to send them over the top, so a trade together isn't exactly the best option here. Just my two cents.

why does LA do this? there are no players offered that they need. they dont need or want to move the player requested. the team is playing great. why?

Johnson for Seguin. how about that?

Jack Johnson has been playing like a top 10 Dman in the league right now and especially stepped it up once Doughty went out....

If he keeps it up and once Doughty shakes off the cobwebs and gets back to full form, i seriously think they have the potential to be the best 1-2 punch in the entire NHL....

No way he gets traded, unless were getting our top line left winger, and even if one was offered, i dont know if we mess with anything right now considering how good we have been playing

For Jack Johnson? Might be a tad bit too much

Why would anyone take the Bruins underachievers for one of the best young up and comers in the game? We need to stop thinking Wheeler will get us an all star in return.

IF.................. you talk about Johnson
you start with Torontos 1st and add from here.

Problem is you don't have what we need.
The only thing what's really missing is a scoring winger.

So try to offer us a scoring winger + torontos 1st and Lombardi will start to listen.

I just dont understand how wheeler and hunwick constantly get offered up as chips to get good players. The Bruins cant trade their spare parts to get good players, even if they bunch alot of them together.

We need Johnson. We don't need anything you're willing to offer and we hardly even need anything you aren't willing to offer either. We just make bad trading partners for NHL talent. The best we can do is exchange prospects or something, like a D prospect from our end for a slightly more talented forward prospect from yours...

exactly.

It's silly to inquire because you guys are in "Win Now" mode...

Let's say if your a rebuilding team, maybe a different story and Boston can throw you a bunch of picks and prospects...

But you rarely see a top team trade one of its better players for futures, when they are in a "win now" mode.

However for ***** and giggles... if you guys weren't a good team and bottom of standings and willing to move JJ... I would offer...

Tor 1st 2011
Bos 1st 2011
Min 2nd 2011
Micheal Ryder for cap purposes

Overpayment, yes, but Boston gets what they want...

However that is fantasy land and LA is a great team and NO way they trade their #2 dman.

Just not good trading partners... but I do wish those LA fans best of luck this season, their team is a real gem to watch and I try to catch as many games as possible.

Johnson has been Doughty's insurance policy on the offensive part of the game while being really good on the defensive area. A deal involving him doesn't make sense at the moment.
