Vote For Burnsie

I believe that we as Wild fans have a duty to write in Brent Burns for the All-Star Game. Nothing against Marek Zidlicky, but Burnsie has been a stalwart for the Minnesota blue line this season and is the only defenseman to lead their team in goals. Throw in the fact that the man is a saint, helps out the military and is a lover of all animals and why would you not vote for him?

Here's more information on how to vote, which is basically an ad for how awesome the NHL is with new media.

There's no point to voting for him. Only 2 defenseman are picked by fans... There is no way he is going to be top 2 in voting... especially as a write-in candidate.

Why not? He's a top-performer, people want him on their team and most importantly Minnesota is not in the Eastern Conference. still going to do it anyways.

Two of Boyle, Keith, Doughty and Lidstrom will be voted in by fans. Won't stop me voting for Burns, though.

Koivu will get snubbed, Backs will be selected, and he'll probably get injured. IMO if your team puts a goalie in the ASG, you should get a skater too. Goalies look awful and only risk injury, don't take part in any skills, and only play for 20 minutes of shinny.

Voted for:

Koivu (DESERVES it)
Ovie (my favorite forward)
Cammalleri (my 2nd fave)
Burns (my fave defenseman)
Green (my 1A fave defenseman)
Luongo (because maybe he'll pull his groin in the game)

Get out there and vote people! Is there a limit on how many times you can vote?

No, it's like a Chicago election. Vote early, vote often.

It's non-partisan, but who here isn't a proponent of the Brent Burns for All-Star Game platform?

I wonder if there's a way to write a script to autovote.
I think they circumvented that last year though, with all the Canadians getting a billion votes.

You could use a program that records your mouse movements and then loops them, probably.

LOL. The things people will do for a "gentleman's game"... I couldn't be bothered to vote more than once, but to actually come up with a program for this (and other meaningless things)? Sad existence.

EDIT: Damn Gopher. Yesterday you just had like 7,800 posts, now today you have 8,100-something? Are you doing GDT's without us (or anyone else) again? Or have you just been straying from all of your buds here at the Wild forums?

I think Burns has been massively overlooked since his injury, and if you look at the figures he puts up when healthy he is a 40 pt a year guy, maybe 50 pts if stayed fit and the wild had a few more pieces. I voted for him along with Bobrovsky-Timonen-Giroux-Richards-Briere! He's good to watch, and i honestly think if he can stay fit he could be as good as boumeester, phaneuf, weber, seabrook, he's as talented as those 4 and a similar age. Id hapilly trade carle, coburn or mezaros for him, but I doubt youd take that deal! For some reason unbeknown to me the wild have became my 2nd team, just slowly creeped into that position, especialy with madden, clutterbuck. koivu and schultz or your roster.
