All Star Ballot

All Star Ballot up at NHL.com

Both Sedins, Luongo and Hamhuis on the ballot.

http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=5...id=DL|NHL|home

Strange they didn't have Kesler or Edler on it.

These are for the starters... And people seem to think you'll be able to write-in players. Doesn't really matter who else other than the Sedins and Luongo get put in, those 3 are the only players with a chance of starting.

We all want our players to play well enough to garner All-Star consideration, but given that the game is all the way on the East Coast and the Nucks are home prior to the game and on the road in Dallas 2 days later, the fewer guys we have there the better. Would rather see them get a couple of days rest.

Besides, I doubt you would see more than 2 Nucks there. Every team gets a rep (they used to use the Young Stars game to help out teams that didn't have a guy in the big game), but since the Young Stars game is no longer, there's only 12 teams that could have multiple players if they continue to have each team with a player at the game.

Hamhuis over Ehrhoff or Edler... what? Whoever made this list is truly an idiot.

Byfuglien, Umberger, McCabe, Oshie, and Zidlicky? I mean I understand they want a couple players from each team on the ballots but come on. Don't snub good players for them.

Leafs players: 4
Caps players: 3
Sense made: Lots

The Caps player they forgot to put on the ballot has more points than every single leafs player on the ballot... added together.

well imo hamhuis and ehrhoff are like 2a defenseman, but before his injury hamuis was playing like a 1b defensman, he will get there again hopefully. he needs to be in on the powerplay over rome.

Hank Dank and Edler are the three who should go. If only two could go, I'd go with Hank and Dank because the players would vote them as captain of opposite teams.

Edler never gets picked for anything!, first the Olympics (are there really 6 swedish defencemen better then him?) and now this!

Just a terrible list. Definitely some star players missing on it.

Edler deserved to be on the list over Hamhuis.

Everyone should all vote Niemi to be the starting goaltender!

Have you been watching Byfuglien play? If the voting was tallied for today, he'd be in the starting lineup.

There was at the time. Pre-post-season Edler last year was still a bubbling mass of potential with inconsistencies. There aren't 6 better defensemen now. Also, if you bring Edler it is as a top 4. I think, at the time, Lidstrom, Kronwall, Enstrom were given over Edler. Right now, only Lidstrom is still given over Edler. The other two fall into the "arguable" category.

But yeah, he should have been part of the all-star voting.
