Plus/Minus Pens v Bolts

+ Fleury. Good game, got the win. Got a tad lucky, we'll take it.

+ Sid, typical.

- Conner.

Have at it, dont have time to do a full review lol

Pens / Lightning Plus-Minus 11/12/10

+ Fleury
+ Dupuis
+ Adams
+ Conner, Letestu
+ Great bounce back game for the entire defense

- Sid, Geno: Geno was especially bad tonight, very discouraging to see after his performance against Boston.
- Penalties: I suppose it's a formality with this roster of grinders, but this team takes so many unnecessary penalties. It's especially alarming when we're taking these penalties against a team that has a powerplay like Tampa. We're extremely lucky that it didn't backfire tonight.
- Rupp: Nice pass on Gogo's goal, but he still sucks and needs to be waived.

I pick this one.

BIG PLUS = Fleury. And the crowd chanting for him. Hopefully his confidence grows.

I've been pretty hard on Michalek so far, but he was fantastic tonight.

Orpik was good, too.

Letang and Goligoski continue to find the scoresheet.

Crosby was pretty bad, but somehow got his points. He now has DOUBLE the points of any other Penguins forward, including Malkin.

Malkin never really got anything going.

Fleury was very strong. Made the saves he needed to.

Kennedy made a few really iffy plays. I think it's the white stick tape. Cramps his style a bit.

You gave Conner a +? I guess he was just meh...

I really like Martin & Michalek out there together. I thought they really helped control the game. I hope we stick to them as a pairing.

+Michalek. I love what he brings to the team. The Pens only gave up 16 shots on goal and Michalek is a big part of that. That is less than half of what Tampa averages on any given night.

+MOAR RUPP with a sweet pass to Gogo for the second goal.

-MOAR RUPP with a dumbass penalty literally seconds after the second goal.

+Fleury: did his job and then some. It was nice to see him get that win.

+ Talbot Game 7 redux/ knucklepuck
+ Errey's general idiocy. I know I am going to giggle at least twice a game.

= I hate Rupp, but the setup on Gogo's goal and mauling of Ohlund on Talbot's goal get him an =, even including that terrible penalty

- Had hoped Geno continued where he left off last game.
- Sure alot of empties down around the glass by the time Engelland scored. I know the game was pretty much over, but stick around and enjoy a rare win at the new building.

Turn over pass right to a Tampa player right inside of their own blue line is not a iffy play, it was a complete bone head play, and he was looking that way the whole time. Definitely not one of his better games.

I thought Cookes hit was a clean hit. Leagues *****fiing up the league.

Did anyone catch Steigy calling Ritola, Tyrell all game and then finally realizing it and apologizing for it in the third?

++++++++++++++++++++ for MAF

Michalek was a monster tonight as well

Along with Captain Sid

-for Rupp, dumb ass
- for Conner, unimpressive
- for team discipline

even for Malkin. He wasn't bad, but not impressive.

Michalek and Flower needed this game....they were both very good. Orpik was a beast on the PK. I think it is about time to end the Duper hate.....the guy plays his butt off. Quote this...he will score over 20 goals.

My only minus is TK had some bad giveaways in the 3rd....but whatever...he has been solid all year

How is Rupp getting Dogged? He made a sick pass on the GoGo goal...and a great play on the Talbot goal. Is it bc he is a Browns fan

And I like Conner's energy over Comrie or Godard. He is a better option on the 3rd line then moving Rupp up to that line. I like the Adams-Talbot-Rupp line.

Probably for what he did after that GoGo goal. Good thing the Pens on the ice killed off that boneheaded penalty.

As close to a complete game we can hope for these days.

Special + to Deryk Engelland for his 1st NHL goal. At age 28 and after 542 games in the minors.

+Michalek,Letang,Fleury-pretty much the best players on the ice
+Talbot
+Rupp-in all honesty he played a very good dame, except for that dumb penalty right after Gogo's goal
+Dupuis-as much as it pains me to say,he's having a very nice stretch of games. the problem is he will probably get re-sign. and again the problem with that is that Dupuis under Bylsma will always play as a top-6 player.
+Goligoski,Engelland for scoring
-Kennedy-bad turnovers
-Malkin-invisible

edit:
+no fights
-stupid penalties

On the Talbot goal, anybody else think Rupp should have gotten a penalty, for pinning a player against the wall without a stick? Could be interference, could be holding...the free-hand stuff, etc.

He got away with one there, and if we hadn't gotten a string of penalties just seconds before, I think he would have been caught.

+Engelland for scoring his first career NHL goal. Hopefully this helps to keep him in the lineup.
