Tickets: $17.75 sides/$16.75 ends. Call 1-800-745-3000.

Affiliations: The Marlies are the American Hockey League affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Binghamton has been affiliated with the Ottawa Senators since 2002.

Season series: The B-Sens won the first meeting, 3-1, on Oct. 17 in Toronto.

Loose pucks: This game marks the return of 19-year-old Binghamton native Jerry D'Amigo, a rookie left wing for the Marlies and making his professional debut at the Arena. D'Amigo, who scored his third professional goal in the Marlies' 3-2 victory over Hershey Friday, was a local youth hockey standout for many years and attended Johnson City High School for two years before joining the United States National Under-18 team. He played for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute last season before making the decision to turn pro this summer. ... The Marlies will be playing their eighth of 10 straight road games after being held away from Ricoh Coliseum by the annual Royal Agricultural Winter Fair for more than three weeks. They defeated the Hershey Bears 3-2 Friday night to improve to 5-0-0-2 on the road swing, earning at least a point in every game. ... The Marlies lost leading scorer Nazem Kadri and defenseman Keith Aulie to callups by the Maple Leafs on Friday. Kadri, the center for D'Amigo's line, had five goals and nine assists for 14 points in 14 games this season. Forward Christian Hanson and defenseman Korbinian Holzer were assigned to the Marlies in a related move. Hanson scored the game-winner Friday night.

Etc.: The game will be televised locally on Time Warner Cable Sports Channel 23. ... The first 2,500 fans to enter the Arena will receive a free B-Sens hat courtesy of Roberts Eyecare Associates. ... D'Amigo's game-worn jersey, complete with an autograph, will be sold by the B-Sens via silent auction, the proceeds to benefit the Family Enrichment Network.

Up next: The B-Sens will look to avenge Oct. 15's 7-1 loss to the Bears in their first road game against the defending Calder Cup champs this season, 5 p.m. Sunday at Giant Center in Hershey.

Coach Kurt Kleinendorst didn't really have a single positive thing to say about Wednesday night's 6-4 loss to the Rochester Americans, and tonight was exactly the opposite, as the team really responded to that loss with a great all-around effort.

"We played the way we are capable of playing," he said. "We came in and beat Wilkes-Barre at their own game, I guess would probably be the best way to put it. We were honest, we were competing, we were winning battles, our penalty killers were very determined, our power play was very sharp, guys were changing at the right time. There were no shortcuts, no passengers. I've always said it's a process, never said it was going to be easy, but I think we're starting to see that we're more consistent now. We're still going to have some games that we're not really happy about, that will be a part of our game, but I think we're starting to see more games where we're playing pretty well as opposed to not playing very well."(read more)

Head-to-head: This is the second of two meetings this season between these two squads. Binghamton won the first contest in Toronto, back on October 17th by a count of 3-1.

Standings: Binghamton is fourth in the Eastern Conference’s East Division with a record of 7-5-1-1 (16 points). Toronto is sixth in the North Division of the Western Conference with a record of 7-6-0-2 (16 points). Binghamton is 4-3-1-0 at home, while the Marlies have a 6-1-0-2 road record.

Binghamton by the numbers: The B-Sens are averaging 3.21 goals-per- game, through 14 games (ranked 9th). They have allowed an average of 2.86 goals-per-game (ranked 17th). They are 15-for-72 on the power-play this season, 20.8%, (ranked 7th). The B-Sens’ have given up 11 goals on 63 chances on the penalty kill, 82.5% (ranked 15th).

Note: Although the game against Toronto is at home, it is worth mentioning that the B-Sens penalty kill was a perfect 6-for-6 on Friday at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and have allowed just one goal in 26 chances on the road this season.

Toronto by the numbers:
The Marlies are averaging 3.27 goals-per-game, through 15 games, (ranked 7th). They have allowed 2.60 goals-per-game, (ranked 10th). The team is 9-for-71 on the power-play, 12.7% (ranked 24th). The Marlies penalty kill has allowed nine goals in 69 chances against 87.0%, (ranked 10th).

Binghamton Ice Chips: Corey Locke is tied for the league lead in scoring with Rochester’s Michal Repik (21 points). He is second behind Repik in assists, with 16.

Rookie Bobby Butler now has 12 goals this season and leads the AHL in that category.

With Barry Brust earning the win between the pipes on Friday with a 29 save effort, it would seem logical that Robin Lehner will start Saturday’s game.

Toronto Ice Chips: The Marlies visit will be a homecoming for Jerry D’Amigo, who attended Johnson City high school. He scored his third goal of the season on Friday in a 3-2 win over Hershey.

B-Sens beat writer Joy Lindsay did a piece on D'Amigo in the Press & Sun Bulletin.

Nazem Kadri, the Marlies leading scorer will not be in uniform Saturday, as he has been called up to Toronto. He had five goals and nine assists with the Marlies before he got the call.

Cheer Zone

GO B-SENS GO!!!

Winger injury for Ottawa tonight, not because I want it, but because now that we're healthy, we're due to not be healthy.

Fireworks ensue on HfBoards while we overhype Bobby Butler's first game in 2010-2011 as he's placed with Jesse Winchester and Ryan Shannon.

Eh...I just see now the game is being shown here on the Syracuse version of TWCS. I wish I had known - I would have gotten a capture card. I actually could buy the game but I'm having a friend over and I won't have time to get it all going. Sorry! Try and find a stream for the tv channel "Time Warner Cable Sports".

So Bingo lost 4-3 tonight?

Brust 4 goals against in 26 shots?

Sens fans don't care much about Brust, he's a serviceable AHL back-up. We care about Robin Lehner

No matter how important Lehner is to us, Brust has been playing marvelous hockey as of late and it's madness to not go with the hot hand.

Lehner, imo, will eventually be the number 1 goalie but as of now, the one who wins the team games will get the start in net.
