Certainly team doctors have an idea what is wrong with him. No doubt they did mobility tests in his leg. They have an idea what to look for, it's the extent of the injury that will require MRI tests and what not.
I am not optimistic about this at all, seen it far too much. I'm going to predict 6 weeks minimum.
Didn't you just say a few minutes ago that other teams know the extent of the injury the night of the game and announce how much time will be missed? You're not fooling anyone. Go to bed before you keep on embarrassing yourself.

The poster he was responding to claimed that other teams announce the injury and the amount of time that will be missed the same night that the injury took place. He was just calling that poster on his BS.

Well there's a couple ways to look at that statement.
a) You're right. He knows what a bad knee injury feels like, and this is another one.
b) He has a charlie horse, which hurt like hell. I'm sure his injury is still in the back of his mind, so any kind of pain to that knee would cause some of panic.
All I'm trying to say is that NONE of us have any idea what's going to happen. It's easy to be pessimistic here, but let's have some patience. Enjoy the win.

You need to tone down the attitude buddy.
Doctors will have an idea of the injury and confirm it with tests. Surely they have relayed that information to coach Martin, and tests will determine exactly how serious it is. But they have a general idea, and so does the coach.
I keep rewinding it to the first flash of the replay, camera view behind staal, and it looks like its above the knee, but clearly it could just be the angle, its awfully close though... Here's to hoping

And that general idea is enough to announce in the post-game press conference how long the player will be out for? Have you already forgot that you bashed the Habs for not making such an announcement after the game and said that other teams do? Sounds like you're either forgetful or doing some serious backtracking.

If that knee on knee tore up something again, Markov's knee is officially brittle. The Cooke hit looked harmless enough. I'm starting to wonder if this is the beginning of a downward slide for Markov. He can't keep having this injuries past 30 and hope to be an elite d-man. It's frustrating but we will have to learn how to build and live without Markov in the lineup. To the market we go? I don't know but I'm not going to want some bum like Bergeron come back, he's useless outside the PP. The O'Byrne trade was bad timing. We might have to see Weber logging minutes!

dayam
i've been knee'd in the quds in martial arts pretty bad and it took under a week to be really mobile ( yet still feeling the muscle tension ) again. In hoping that it's only a charlie horse, i think he'll be skating in a day or 2, then back hard again after that. Lots of heat and stretching on the muscle to loosen it up again.
Has to be a charlie horse, deep bruise type of injury, I'm thinking nothing major.
It did appear to be above the knee, but as my "good friend" Schooner pointed out in an earlier post, that wasn't a good thing for Ben Maxwell a few years ago. He could still miss significant time unfortunately.
