Of course they do. They all announce it in the post-game press conference.

Until I hear it from a legit source, I'm not buying anything.

Montreal reporters have a tendency to try and break "news" before it actually happens. Remember the extension Markov supposedly signed a couple of weeks ago?

Not sure why people are talking about Carle, Weber or any of those AHL guys. They send O'B packing 'cause Picard played better. It's Picard turn. I would bet that they try pairing Picard with Gorges without changing anything else.

**** please let that not be true.. Markov just can't catch a break at all if that is indeed the case.. Suddenly tonight's win doesn't feel so good.. Please let this report be wrong and it's not the case..

As soon as I saw Markov going down, I knew he would be out for at least a few months...

Obviously hope he's ok though.
Are you serious? The guy hasn't played in HOW FREAKING LONG?

7 Games and you think he isn't Markov anymore?

You sir display the characteristics of one others would refer to as "A Sieve"

Pray tell me... ARE you one sir?

ARE YOU?

On CKAC, they're interviewing JM, he says nobody knows anything yet. He says its lower body injury. Nothing more.

I did a google translation on that article and the first part made me go what the hell...

The Canadiens' win over the Carolina Hurricanes did not elicit smiles than among members of the staff team as defenseman Andrei Markov was killed in combat in third and that his absence could be as long three months, depending on what RDS has learned.
Wasn't expecting to read that..

weber you never know... he's a candidate for a shot at it... even if they get picard in the lineup... he'd get his chance sooner or later. Some of the things he does are already great NHL caliber... but he needs to be more reliable defensively...

as for carle... trade him for a bag of pucks while you can, puck prices expected to go up soon.

Markov is obviously badly hurt, and it's the knee again. A great athlete knows his own body, and his reaction -- the gloves, the fist -- said that he knew that he had hurt the same place again. He was furious, more than in pain, because of it.
What a horrible downer. Because until then it was like a Saturday night in 1976.
