If they passe him through waiver again we can pick him up for free and at half the cap hit.

NO!!!! Give it up on Souray!!! He's awful in the dressing room, hence his demotion by the Oilers, he's a brutal defencemen and he's injury prone and he's stupid. He broke his hand again in a fight.....you'd think he'd learn and stop fighting...but nope.

I'd rather MAB than Souray!!!! Both of them only have a slapshot and provide nothing else.

The way I look at it is if the last place Oilers don't want Souray in their lineup because he won't help them any, then why should we think he'll help the Habs defence??? We have much better defence than the Oilers in the first place....adding Souray will only bring us down.

Let him rot in the AHL until he retires!!!

Didn't Sheldon re-injure his hand? I would try Weber 1st.

Yes, but every other team in the entire NHL standings beneath us would have to pass on him first, and if you think he would last long enough for us to get a shot at him you're dreaming...

I dont know. You'd think that if a team was ready to pick him up the Oilers would have called him up so the owner could save a few mils.

People seem to forget that Souray's best years were with Montreal. And he was most effective when playing on a defensive pairing with Markov on the PP. Markov can make just about anybody with a good slapshot look amazing and Souray wasn't much of an exception, so as a replacement for Markov he's useless.

I saw this thread title and my first reaction without having read anything was a qualified

NNNNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

He's a trigger man/pilon, we need a set up man who can play defense.

He's as much an option as surgically removing my knee and putting it on Andrei Markov is.

I think I'd rather give him my knee then see Souray in our line up again.
