I agree about Kaberle. I would totally pay a high price to trade for him. Plus, as a previous poster said, we could pay him with the money available after Hamrlik's gone (5.5m). And sign Markov.

I don't know what Burke would want but maybe he'd like a guy like Tinordi and high draft pick(s) to compensate for having none. Or even guys like Pacioretty, Weber or Kristo. If TO wants estabilshed players, then it'll be harder....

Since we're off to such a great start this season, I decided that I'm gonna take the Markov situation with positivity and with a smile. I think it's a great chance for Picard to keep progressing in the line up. Thought he had a great start and I can't wait to see him back on tuesday.

Not too worried about the next few weeks, we did fine last year in the playoffs without him, same at the beginning of this season...

But being injured that often in the last few years, THAT worries me... will we be stuck with Markov playing 40/50 games a season for the next few years ?

ok if Markov don't come back this year I hope the Habs try Weber with the big club. If Weber can handle himself well and help the PP ,we keep him up and no need for a trade to help the defense

after that the Habs will have some cap space to trade for a legit top6 player. Ideally a guy who's UFA or RFA next year.

maybe guys like Vrbata,Miettinen,Hejduk will be available at some point this season.

I like the idea of Kaberle to MTL...

Make it happen Pierre.

I wonder what they'd say to something like;

Tinordi, Maxwell, and a 1st.

Of course, I'd want to make sure Kaberle would sign giving up two huge pieces like that plus a pretty good prospect.
