Winning on Thursday is always great.

Team has basically a half a bye week now. I would have been ****ing pissed as hell if I had to wait 10 days after a horrible loss.

I honestly thought we were going to lose when HOU went up 24-20.

I am pumped, I just picked up a McCoy Kelly Green Throwback authentic from a mistake sale on the Eagles online shop.

They are discounting them for 40%, and then in you cart they magically took another 50% off, 82 shipped.

Got a feeling we split with the Cowboys and beat the Vikings. Hopefully, if we lose to the Cowboys, it will be the last game of the season after we have already sewn up the division. It all comes down to the second game against the Giants. The winner should take the division.

Stats

Celek
This year
30rec 342yds 11.4avg 3tds
last year
76rec 971yds 12.8avg 8tds

So yea he took a major hit in production.

Jackson

38rec 762yds 20.1avg 5tds
last year
62rec 1,156yds 18.6avg 9tds

Jackson we will have to wait and see the last four games to see if his drop in production is significant or even happens. A couple big games and he may have better stats than last year.

Celek's average is still pretty similar he just hasn't been utilized that much by Vick.I think you're going to see more of Celek down the stretch

I really havent been to impressed with Celek this season. It would be interesting how many balls he dropped compared to last season. I would bet alot more.

Vick used to target his TE all the time in Atlanta. But I forget if Crumpler was getting quality passes or if his was the check down receiver since those were the days before Vick learned to throw a football.

Definitely more. He literally didn't drop anything last year. This season he's been plagued by a wrist injury suffered early in the season (you wouldn't even know this if the media didn't bring it up, however) and has been asked to block more than ever before. If defenses continue to sit back and play 2 deep to take away the big play, that will open up a lot of room in the middle of the field for Celek. As such, I expect he'll become more and more a part of the offense over these last 4 weeks.

This is what concerns me heading into Dallas, more Asante than Winston. Sure, Dez Bryant is out too, but they've still got Roy Williams and Miles Austin they can throw on opposite sides of the field. Eagles secondary wasn't exactly a shut-down group with Samuel, and we've seen what Chicago and Houston did when there was no Asante.

There's some solace in that Dallas' defense is worse than the Eagles, and the pundits are calling for a shootout, which neither the numbers nor I will disagree with. Perhaps Dallas has a let-down game this week, and since the Eagles had an extra 2 days off that's more time for Andy to study film, and he's quite good with extra time to study during the regular season.

On another note, Trent Cole was fined $20k yesterday for a hit on Matt Shaub in the "knee area." That's only $5k less than Andre Johnson was fined for his fight with Cortland Finnegan. Is an on-field fight really just worth $5k more than a hard play that happened to hit a QB in the "knee area?" Perhaps it's because this is Cole's 4th fine and they're adding up, but come on. I don't know what's more inconsistent, NFL fines or NHL refereeing.

The Metrodome roof has apparently collapsed/deflated. No word yet on if the game is still going to be played tomorrow, but if it is it won't be at the Metrodome, because it takes a few days to reinflate it once repaired.

If the Giants get a 9th home game out of this like they did b/c of Katrina, I'll be incredibly pissed.

The plus side to that will be the short week for them. If the game has to be played on Tuesday, it might be worth it. I don't think they'll move the game to New York though, from a football standpoint, the Saints weren't the only ones unhappy about that.

The University of Minnesota has a new football field. Maybe that is an option.

Update: The game has been moved to Detroit.

I think this helps the Eagles due to the fact that they play on Monday. But the Birds need to focus on the Cowboys without Assuante and Winston Justice.
