scoring goals however, is a gift. sometimes you just have it. is he one of those guys ?

12 goals/23 points in 18 games is impressive

but 5'9 170 isnt. he looks quite small on the ice too.
His size doesn't hinder him on the ice at all right now. Obviously the NHL is another story, but he should grow.

And now you all can stop worrying that McIlrath gets Jessiman'd

Michigan Hockey

I think we get Hagelin on the NHL network tomorrow afternoon. That might be just in Canada; I'm not sure

That injury probably puts McIlrath's very slim chances of making the WJC team to pretty much impossible. He is still eligible next year, right?

For now.

4 months left in his season, still plenty of time to make it a whole lot worse or a whole lot better, we'll see.

Oilers head scout Stu MacGregor @3:13

Hall
Seguin
Johansen
Gundbranson
Fowler
McIlrath

Yep. He also said that if Skinner was there, he would have to be considered as well. I LOVE their 2nd rounders last year. Pitlick and Marncin are going to be players. Great draft for the Oil.

Hey - not a big deal, but just noticed that the math on Hagelin's point totals appears off.

Murphy sliding abit in last 2 mocks. Musil is still in top-10. Do you think he stays there? Heard few people say that he may slide towards middle-late 1st. Limited upside.

Murphy won't slide the way those mocks have him

The NHL.com guys are always all over the map. I'd look at ISS for a better understanding. One kid who's caught my eye IF the Rangers continue to remain in the lower areas of the draft is Vlad Namestnikov...highly-skilled playmaking center, who's playing in London right now. He crossed over to play in the OHL, and already speaks English fluently.

You got that right.. Keep on proving the critics wrong kid!..

Hopefully he grows about 2 inches and gains about 20 pounds and then he is good to go for the NHL!!

Looks like Kreider did not get a point tonight... But he did have (2) shots on net..

Good win for BC over a top team in Maine.

Didn't see it mentioned here, but Horak had a goal and as assist last night. He has 28pts in 20 games so far this season.

Hagelin had a goal for Michigan last night.

Even 15 pounds would suffice lol. If he gained that and the 2 inches, he would be Callahan's size, and then we wouldn't have to worry.

Dylan McIlrath returned from New York with good news about his injured right knee.
The Moose Jaw Warriors defenceman has a Grade 1 sprain of his medial collateral ligament.
“The MRI came back that there was no miniscus tear or anything like that, so it’s pretty good news,” said McIlrath who was the New York Rangers first pick, 10th overall, in the 2010 NHL entry draft.
“I’m lucky that it doesn’t need surgery to repair.”
McIlrath said he doesn’t want to rush back from the injury, but if the knee continues to respond well to treatment he could be back practicing next week.
http://www.mjtimes.sk.ca/Sports/Hock...injured-knee/1

Rangers said McIlrath will be out for 10-14 days. He has already missed a week so a maximum of 7 more days.

I didn't think he was trying to compare them so much as point out that he literally was in the race with them. I mean that's not a made up fact he was and it's a pretty darn significant fact too. 3 G 3 A tonight daaaaaaaamn. Hype train on this kid is gonna be through the roof (If Prucha > Crosby then CT> God) haha

I'm hoping that we can get Werek with Hartford next year, let him do a year there while we still have drury. Then hopefully he'll be ready after that year and he can replace drury and up the middle we'll have stepan-anisimov-werek-boyle, I like.
