New Season Subscriber Benefit

Not sure if this needs a new thread or not. Got an email last night from the Rangers. You can now trade in your season tickets seats for any particular game and upgrade them for better seats. The value of your seats will be taken off the price of the better seats. They must really be having a tough time selling the seats down low.

Somewhat related, I looked at getting tickets for 2 upcoming Rangers road games (MN & StL) & I could buy seats on the glass for face value. This was surprising to me.

The problem is most of the "better" seats are in crappy sections. Not to mention every upgrade practically doubles the cost. So if you have decent 300s for example (at $112/pair) you'll have to pay nearly $200 to sit in the corner in 217 where they know doubt have plenty of availability. I'd rather keep my 300s on the good end.

Maybe they could lower the insane prices way down low if they want people in the seats down there?

Just an idea...

agreed

Not to beat a dead horse, but I agree they need to readdress the way they are pricing/selling to season subscribers. The prices are out of this world, the resale is zero, the energy is flatlined in MSG, the entire system is dated.

I also believe that a team loses a distinct advantage when they price the 'real fans' out of the lower sections. If they want to keep the premiums they charge up, at least allow people to move down after the 1st. Nowhere is this more evident than at Yankees games this year.

Jimmy D - Please allow the fans to be fans!!!

I signed up for this, but it seems that the seats on the glass arent included in these upgrades. I've never sat on the glass so it might be fun to splurge for a game... hopefully they include row 1 on these texts as well.
