That was like the opposite of the Tampa game's first period. The Wild dominated and had plenty of scoring chances but couldn't get a goal.

its not always about scoring in the first, if they play every period like that theres no reason not to see 3+ tonight.

Scandella looking good again. Carrying the puck as good as anyone of the D not named Zidlicky, and passing better than the rest of the D. Noticed that passing since game one, he doesn't like to chip the puck out, he likes to actually make a pass. Haven't seen that since Johnsson left..
Very quick period though. One of our best this year, but nothing to show for it.

Interviewing players remains the most pointless intermission activity ever

That period sets us up nicely for the rest of the game. Ducks had that game last night and now they get outworked in the first tonight. The last thing the Wild wanted to do was play a passive first and let the Ducks find their legs. I would like to think this was TR's gameplan.

But then again, you would like to see this kind of early effort every game. It just doesn't happen for us.

Wait what? Where do they get these questions from? You can clone someone on the Wild to also play on the Wild? What is this?

Someone would have to have some big gaffes in the next 2 periods for that to happen IMO. And even then, Stoner's sitting in the pressbox.

No score but the Wild looked better than they did on the last road trip.

Really well played period, but nothing to show for it. Clutterbuck hit a pipe. Scandella looks good. Havlat looks good.

Godzilla also ran out onto the ice but he was tackled by the kid who brings out the flag before he could terrorize anyone.

It's better than the Lee jeans "research."

I like how those are just national commercials cheaply localized.
