"If you're the Carolina Hurricanes, you have got to be excited about this game tonight. The raw talent the Hurricanes ice is second to none in the league. Add to that the speed and amazing effort put forth in the practices, and you have yourself a nearly invincible team. If you don't believe it, just ask Coach Mo."

Quote:
"I don't see how you can't help but be excited by this team. Now that I've shown them exactly what end of the ice I want them to score at, I think we will be able to do amazing things."
All in all, this is one game you are not going to want to miss. Pressbox POS puts in an appearance. Bobble head Juice is available to those attending. And for those not, we are once again blessed with the one and only Tripp Tracy.

EDIT: Brett Carson has been recalled from Charlotte and will be available to play tonight.

Why? Mo said so.

well with the few trade offers on HFB surrounding Brian Lee, I will be interested to see what we can see of him tonight. I havent actually seen much of him since he was playing at UND while I was there, and when there, although playing ok, he seemed held back by something and I was thinking he would get to the NHL and break out. Maybe he hasnt yet because of where he is playing a la Corvo there minus the raging crazy guy image (lol) or maybe he just isnt as good as he was thought to become before he ever got to UND. Either way, personally, I would love to see him here. Maybe not to fill the void we have and are trying to fill currently, but definitely more than, say, bringing back Wallin, Ward, Melichar......etc. He is still young which means he most likely hasnt even hit his peak yet. But who knows.

But the point is, since I cant watch, can some of you give some feedback on what you see of him tonight? I am curious how he looks out there over 2 years since the last time I saw him play.

thanks.

may get to catch the beginning of the game, and maybe the end, but not the whole thing. sad.

Has anyone tried riding the Caniac Coach bus from downtown to the game? I'm thinking about saving $10 tonight.

I wasn't sure how to word it, so I'm not surprised at the confusion. What the 12-3 means is the last Hurricanes game was lost 7-2 and the last Senators game was lost 5-1 thus implying that both teams weren't anything exceptional in their last outing.

7-1 Sens and we'll all sit here after the game and lose our ****.

On a serious note, we'll play relatively solid tonight (take that for whatever it may be worth), however we'll be down 3-2 in the final few minutes, pull Ward and Ottawa will sink the empty netter for a 4-2 win.

Ottawa is going to be tired, they had to fly from Philly back to Ottawa to attend the ceremonial mourning of Luke Richardson's deceased daughter this morning/early afternoon to pay thier respects. They probably just arrived in Carolina.

You won't be seeing anything of Lee unless you watch the press box. He's a healthy scratch. And even when Kuba was injured, the Sens had Hale fill his spot on the D over playing Lee.

Thats the point.....glad you noticed. A simple Red, Green, Yellow would have sufficed though.

JR's got it out for me and my vCash. I made a bet on the game, based solely on the fact that the Anton would pull us out of any struggles we may have had.

Couple hours later, traded. Damn you, JR.

ottawa arrived at the arena at 5.

carolina will be playing below strength with the trade, i expect the sens to be a bit sluggish because of the trip to ottawa and back. Expect lots of mistakes and goalies to be the difference.

I don't see that being the difference in this game. Carson in for Babchuk will be a defensive upgrade and it isn't like the Canes have been on a tear on the PP from Babs contribution. Kostopolous was skating on the 4th line but will be missed a little on the PK.

Carson in for Anton, Tlusty/POS in for TK. How will we be below strength?

These things can have a weird way of inspiring strong performances but I don't think any of us are going to be all that hard if the compete just isn't there tonight. It's hard to say really...

LaRose to Gleason!

Did Gleason even have a single goal during the regular season last year? For some reason, I'm thinking he didn't. Perhaps that was the year before.
