Beauchemin is making 3.8 M if I remember correctly, so its not going to break the bank, if there's any smidge of truth to the deal then this must mean that Setoguchi must be struggling/dog house with his play. Its Ecklund so you know its made up.

There is nothing similar between them other than a hard shot and a quick one-timer.

Heck, I'll give you Bieksa for Setoguchi and you can drop the 3rd.

Why does SJ trade away a goal scorer with potential for.... Beauchemin? (sp?)

Doesn't make sense from either side to be honest...

Their top 6 is deep enough to absorb the loss. Toronto will be happy to get rid of Beauchemin any day.

Eklund is too good sometimes

Seriously...trade MacArthur aka our best forward so far this season to make room for Seto!? Nahhh

Kulemin-Grabovski-Kessel
MacArthur-Kadri/Bozak-Setoguchi
Versteeg-Bozak/Kadri-Armstrong
Brown-Zigomanis-Orr

Phaneuf-Komisarek
Kaberle-Schenn
Aulie-Gunnarson
Lebda

That could work for me. But as I alluded to before...

Eklund. Classic.

San Jose would be moronic to give up on Setoguchi right now..Especially for Beauchemin.

So? Thats flimsy support for a trade that has more cons than pros from San Jose's perspective.

If you read Eklunds article its not even for sure rumored to be a 3rd, plus Toronto gives up a prospect (probably not a good one but still)

The deal sort of makes sense--however--I think the pink is from TO and not SJ

If this happens leafs win it in a steal

If i'm the Leafs, I do this deal,
Setoguchi has looked far from excellent this season,
So maybe he just needs a change of scenery,

Begging to part company with? Nice try troll...Beachemin leads the Leafs in icetime with 24+ minutes per game and is a plus player on a poor team.

Thanks but Beach is easily top 4 on the Sharks.

it is Eklund but this one does make sense. The Sharks need help on the Blueline and we need help in the top 6 Setoguchi is a young skilled top 6 forward that has proven he can put the puck in the net with 51 goals combined the past 2 seasons and it would have been more but he missed 12 games last year.

The Sharks get a D man for a cup Run we get a young cherap Forward both teams fill a need.

Makes perfect sense but it is Eklund so it likely wont happen.

We don't need top 4 defensemen either. We need a solid #2 defenseman behind Boyle. Beauch clearly does not fill that hole.

A deal we are looking for is Seto + something small for a top 2 defenseman. (We can take a little salary)

You don't always get what you want, sometimes you get what you need.

Anyhow, I wouldn't do the deal if I was the Sharks either. Only responding to some troll that said Beachemin is garbage.

He's actually better than people give him credit - everyone on the Leafs gets valued like there record - even Phaneuf and Kessel suck right now. Which is unfair, there are many decent players on the Leafs and Beachemin is one. He plays 24+ minutes a night, tops on the team and has been solid the past while.

He'd be in SJ top 4 easy. As for Seto for a number 2 dman - not happening - not the way the kid is playing. Dmen, especially top two guys, are rare and valuable.

I am just wondering but how is Seto doing this year? Also, that -6 next to him gives me a few chills - ala 'bone-headed plays'. Hypothetically, if Seto did play in TO and committed such plays, he would be run out of town immediately after he got here.

Classic Eklund. Give Leafs fans something to get excited about and click onto his site.

I dont know where to find it but can someone please post the link to the website that chew's Eklunds ass out and shows how statistically wrong he has been on almost every trade proposal.
