Thanks for this. Murray Wilson playing the point on power play. Van Boxmeer at wing. Scotty sure was creative in his player usage. Nice reminder too of how creative Pete Mahovlich was when at his best.

I think they may have met in playoffs this year also. I was about 11, I can remember waiting for the game to come on to start the playoffs. I remember asking my mother if it was true if the world was going to end. Montreal was good that year, I was worried the world would end, i knew that was only thing keeping them from a cup.

No, not really. I am often going through you tube trying to find Habs games from the 70's and this is one I had not come across so I posted it. I do love Shutt's goal though,as he deflects a Lafleur pass in mid air past Espo.
